Dr SM Balaji presented with Coco-de-Mer as a sign of Seychellois Appreciation for his Honorary Surgical Services The “Coco-de-Mer” or the double coconut is a tree belonging to the Palm tree family that is unique to the Republic of Seychelles. This is a symbol of national pride for all Seychellois citizens and symbolizes the peace and harmony that has been the hallmark of the island nation. Dr. SM Balaji has been serving as the Consultant Craniofacial Surgeon to the Government of Seychelles for over two decades now and has rehabilitated scores of Seychellois children with complex craniofacial deformities, thus enabling them to lead a normal life. The then (2001) Director of Dental Services and Chief Dental Officer, Seychelles Medical and Dental Association, Dr. Harold Pothin presented Dr SM Balaji with the Coco-de-Mer as a mark of gratitude for his service to the nation highlighting the dedication and commitment, which had marked his surgical missions to the country. Also present was Ms. Yvette, Chief Nursing Superintendant, Republic of Seychelles. #seychelles #seychllesisland #palmtree #cocodemer #republicofseychelles #symbolofseychelles #seychellestourism #chiefdentalofficer #drsmbalaji #smbalaji #balajidental #maxillofacialsurgeon #seychellois #doublecoconut (at Mahe, Seychelles) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAVSCN4lmBS/?igshid=m9orqxkdyetp
