Cheese watched as Maple popped yet another Jaboca berry into her mouth. They were her favorite, and she had somehow gotten a whole pile of them that was quickly disappearing. She probably stole them from a human market.
"You're eating a lot more than usual," Cheese said.
Maple glared at him, which was the only way she ever looked at him. "That's because I'm more hungry than usual, obviously. Don't you have something better to do?" She popped another berry into her mouth, then picked up the rest using psychic and flew away.
Cheese laughed softly once she was gone. That had been a fairly tame response compared to usual. Maybe he was starting to grow on her. Probably not.
"Cheese, get the sleep powder, now!"
Cheese jumped at the sudden intrusion of Limburger in his head. "Golly, you're gonna kill me with a heart attack someday old man."
"Now!"
There was a loud clatter in the living room, followed by a terrible growling noise. Oh boy. Cheese got to his feet with a groan and started towards the supply closet, but then Maple sped past him with the jar of sleep powder in tow. There was a thud of something falling to the floor and the growling stopped. Cheese started floating towards the living room instead.
"What are you guys trying to do, burn the house down? Why'd you teleport that thing in here?"
Cheese froze. Tenmaitwo had recently picked up in Rocket transmissions about a pokemon being experimented on, and they and Limburger went off to rescue it. Cheese wasn't well enough to join, as usual. It was also clear from the way Maple said "thing" exactly what this pokemon was.
Another mewtwo? No way...
Cheese came into the living room to find Maple angrily throwing a myriad of water moves at some flames and an Arcanine asleep on the floor. Cheese relaxed, but also felt strangely disappointed. Not a mewtwo.
Wait...
As Cheese got closer they started noticing more details about the beast. Bipedal, a collar of fur in the shape of a breastplate, ears angled towards the back of the head. He looked up at Limburger, who was slumped on an adequately damp couch in exhaustion.
"Yeah," Limburger said, "Don't worry, she isn't competition for you at all with that personality."
Mr. Fuji ran in "what in arc- oh dear." He stared at the pokemon on the floor.
Tenmaitwo flew towards Mr. Fuji. "I managed to access the facility's computer during the rescue, as always. This was an experiment to try to find a way to complete Maple's fossil DNA using pokemon DNA instead of human's. Obviously it worked."
"No way..." Mr Fuji muttered. "We made thousands of attempts to do that, including with growlithe and Arcanine samples."
"I'm still processing the document explaining how they made the breakthrough. Its ridiculously long. And boring. But the growlithe line genes dont have anything to do with it. Theoretically this could be replicated with any pokemon."
Mr. Fuji sighed. "That is... very bad news. Any particular reason they chose growlithe line genes as opposed to any other?"
"Yes. The second goal was to fix the problem discovered when Cheese rebelled. Arcanine are known for their loyalty. Let's just say she wasn't happy to be taken from her creators."
Cheese's heart sank. A mewtwo bred specifically to be loyal... he wondered if they had treated her as poorly as they had him. Probably not. She looked flawless.
Maple huffed. "A friendly mewtwo is bad enough. This amalgamation is going to kill you all." She flew away.
"You ok Cheese?" Limbergur asked directly to him.
"Yeah," Cheese replied back. "I'll be fine." He noticed Mr Fuji was staring at him like he was considering asking the same thing.
Limbergur switched to addressing everyone. "Maple isn't exactly wrong. The second she wakes up she's going to be mad and ready to return to team rocket."
"Well, we can't let her leave." Mr Fuji rubbed his chin in thought. "Both for her sake and other's. I hate the idea, and it won't make her any happier, but we'll have to confine her."
Tenmaitwo tipped forward, which was their version of a nod. "I'll get started immediately. By the way, I destroyed rocket's copies of all of their research documents and killed the scientists. It will be a while before someone rediscovers the breakthrough again. You're welcome."
"Thank you," Mr. Fuji muttered. Tenmaitwo flew off.
Cheese stared at the sleeping Arcatwo. Would they ever be able to break down her blind loyalty to team rocket, or would she spend her entire life in a cage? He couldn't imagine going through that, which was saying a lot. The only cage he had ever experienced was Rocket Headquarters, which was a pretty big cage. That had been terrible enough. His thoughts turned to the eevee. She may never leave incubation either, let alone wake up. This mewtwo was almost definitely a fire type, which meant if she ever escaped and went on a rampage through the shelter, the eevee would die.
Three mewtwos... when were they going to stop?
Maple sat in the attic with her snacks, hating everything. The new mewtwo should be killed, but she knew Mr. Fuji wouldn't allow that, and she didnt want to be kicked out. "Five mewtwos... when are they going to stop?" She thought bitterly.

Pathetic
Cheesetwo was on the ground, every muscle shaking as he tried to get up. He was trying so hard. He was trying his best. But the energy wasn't there.
The boss's feet stepped into view. "Get up."
"I can't..." Cheesetwo gasped.
"Pathetic."
"Did you say something?" Limburger asked in Cheesetwo's head.
The message sent Cheese back to the present. He wasn't at Team Rocket HQ, he was at Mr.Fuji's home. The boss wasn't there. He tried to laugh the bad memory away. "I said I can't get up." He summoned his spoon and used it to help prop himself up. "Oh look, nevermind." Now that he was fighting against gravity he was shaking even more. He probably looked pathetic. He sure did feel pathetic.
"Rough morning?" Limburger asked. He was floating near the incubator the rescued Eevee was resting in, watching over it as usual.
"I guess so." There was no rhyme or reason to when his energy levels plummeted. Cheese tried to stand up straighter, even though there was no need to. It would be smarter to sit down. But he was frustrated with himself. He had planned to do things today. He finally gave up and carefully lowered himself to the ground, resting his spoon on his lap. "You know, sometimes I wonder if this is all in my head." Just like the flashback he had just had.
Limburger turned his head as if to look at Cheese, even though the Alakazam never opened his eyes. "It's not."
Cheese raised an eyebrow and smirked. "How do you know, genius?"
"Come here." Limburger used psychic to pull Cheese over. They were good friends, and Limburger knew at this point when Cheese wanted help getting around. Cheese was so lucky to have him.
The Eevee in the incubator was breathing shallowly, and the ear with the bionic implant flicked around wildly, like it was it's own creature. They still weren't sure if she was going to make it, but she was steadily improving. They just had to keep her away from Fire, Water, Grass, Flying, Ground, Rock, Ice, Bug, Dragon, and Steel type pokemon. If the implant detected any of those types within a certain range it would activate, and another evolution would almost definitely kill her at this point.
"Is it all in her head?" Limburger asked.
Cheese sighed. "No." He tried to think of an argument and then gave up. "Thanks."

oooo moving shiny thing OvO
Much like how Cheesetwo ended up being my way to vent my struggles with chronic illness Spidermop ended up being the character I poured all of my ✨childhood trauma✨ angst into. Unlike most spiderpeople the incident that gave her her powers happened when she was very young. Her only family was a single dad that worked for Norman Osborn, so he often had to bring her along to work, and it didn't end well.
Another thing that's super different about her is she can't really do the secret identity thing. She's Spidermop 24/7, doesn't have any other life. She has six arms (which plus her two legs makes 8 limbs), 8 eyes, two little pincer... fang... spider things yknow the little things they have. So yeah it doesn't really work. She just hides her arms under her cloak and tries her best.
She's also selectively mute. So this universe has this tiny silent gremlin running around and beating bad guys up. Sometimes people find it sleeping in a box in an alley and go "what the crud" but then it scuttles off. Yeah. mothman, bigfoot, the weird thing in new york,
#I haven't ever ended up with any self-inserts but characters often end up having a part of me in them#and then I process emotions related to that part I injected through the character#it's super fascinating especially because none of it is ever on purpose at first

Hope you don't mind but here's some basic name suggestions for moddy mew if you're struggling or haven't had time to look, feel free to delete if this is unwanted;
Pinky (cause they pink more of a joke name suggestion but when I did look at them this was my first thought) Rosy/Maple (from the Rosy maple moth which is pink and yellow, it's a very cute fluffy moth and is a personal fav lmao (I know I might use Rosy as a name for a mew I wanna make who's also gon be pink with bits of yellow who was gonna be actively based off a Rosy maple moth but lmao I haven't actually been able to make her yet I scrapped first drawing coloring attempt cause I didn't like it lmao, this is just a random trivia thing I wanted to share just cause I think itd be very fun if we both had Mews called Rosy, plus it's a really cute name and like with the mews green eyes like kind of a rose of u squint))
Speaking of rose there is a type of rose that's pink and yellow, according to Google it's name is "Peace" tho I assume maybe that means it represents that but I think Peace is a cute name and mews wouldn't normally have standard names I don't think idk
And lastly from my quick little research I found Aster which is another pink and yellow flower, check for aster pink yellow hybrid. The name aster apparently means Star and the flower was considered sacred to the Greek and Roman deities which is very interesting as like mews are sacred and diety in a way. These ancient wildflowers are steeped in mysticism which again very mew
Sorry these are basic and yea all themed around your mews colors, since I'm not sure on their personality ect I can't do a cheeky Google search based on that so I figured eh they might be named for their color.
If you want to delete this I completely understand its probably a bit rude/uncalled for I just saw your tag on mew that needs naming and thought I could suggest some names

I love the rosy maple moth thing, and if you're alright with it, I think it would be really cool if one was named rosy and the other was named maple. I dont want to barge in on your really cool and original idea tho so dont be afraid to say no if you'd rather not. Also if you're comfortable with it I'd love to see the design once you figure it out, it sounds so cool.
As for their personality, their official Pokemon Nature(tm) is sassy, strongly defiant.
They hate humans and mewtwos with a burning passion and isnt afraid to say it. The only exceptions are professor oak and mr. Fuji. Cheesetwo avoids them like the plague.
If you dont fall into either of those categories they will be more relaxed and kind, but still enjoy sarcasm and satire and the like. If you're a victim of team rocket shenanigans you unlock her secret mama bear mode.
