is that kj apa ? nope ! that’s just archie andrews , a canon character from riverdale , shaking the sand out of his shoes . the seventeen year old must have forgotten to wear his flip flops to the beach again . oh well ! i hear he has some of his memories , and that while he can be impressionable , he can also be tenacious .

hey ya’ll ! i’m christina , and here’s my bb arch ! since ,,, most ppl have some idea who he is , i’m mainly gonna b discussing where i’m starting with him / what memories he has , as well as some bullets to help with my portrayal of him ! pls read here if u wanna know what’s up in depth . anyway ,,, pls plot w me . finger guns .

HISTORY !

the very last thing archie remembers is being taken away for the arrest of one CASSIDY BULLOCK . obviously , archie didn’t commit this murder & it’s all a ploy by hiram lodge to get rid of the red paladin , if you will lmfao .

upon arrival in the keys , he has no idea of what’s gone on in season three , doesn’t even know what’s come of his trial . in his eyes , he’s escaped custody , and he’s here --- but he’s SCARED . scared of what’s to come next , scared to keep people around ‘cause he’s afraid he’ll drag them down with him when he inevitably is put back on trial ( or so he thinks ) .

he’s left sad , vulnerable , sleep deprived --- he knows the arrest was only the beginning , and he has no idea how to make it stop . it’s safe to say he’s feeling waves of PARANOIA AND ANXIETY , but he’ll suppress it literally as much as he can . he’s getting back into writing music , tho , so hopefully that helps ?

PERSONALITY MUSINGS !

while my portrayal of archie is primarily RIVERDALE based , i’m inclined to take some of his personality from the 2015 run of comics as well ! this means my arch is ... i guess more so in touch w his emotions ? like ,,, he already is in the show at a surface , but in the comics it’s a bit deeper ! he’s an emotional boi . fav comic moment is when he tried to call himself an albatross , but accidentally said albacore . tragic ;(

there’s no single , widely accepted stay sign for him , so i’ve decided to make my archie a PISCES ! seeing as i myself am one , & a lot of the charas i draw inspo from are , i only feel like it’s fitting . defense : arch is extremely sensitive / emotional . he has a huge heart , he’s the ~creative~ type , he’s idealistic , fundamentally dreamy , loyal , patient , genuine , hella hopeless romantic , and a bit in his own world . finally ? the 1985 birthday issue for archie states that his birthday is in march , so i feel like i’m onto something ?? as for moon & rising --- deffo aries ( tendencies to feel inadequate , overcompensates bc failure is a possibility / comes off as energetic and direct , seems impulsive or hasty in thought , etc )

archie is pretty sleep deprived these days ! he’s kept up late with pressing thoughts / stress / anxiety / paranoia , and will literally just lie in bed until he either decides to run it out , or ( and this is rare ) , talk to betty / jughead about it . it’s not odd to find him with deep bags under his eyes , or literally just drifting off anywhere he’s comfortable . sad .

in his earlier high school days , i think he focuses a lot of his relationships on lust rather than love ( grundy , val & even ronnie to an extent ) . he’s v quick to say i love you & a lot of his relationships are v sexually based . i think as he grows & matures , tho , he’s kinda realizing the importance of like ? love > lust . this does not invalidate his relationships ( besides grundy bc that shit’s fucked ?? he was so manipulated and it was mentally AWFUL for him . lowkey still waiting for some justice on that . ) , i think it’s just the fine line of Who He Was vs Who He’s Becoming . maturity at it’s finest , my dudes .

archie andrews is an INCREDIBLY physical guy ! meaning he’s gonna hold your hand , put an arm around you , hug you , etc ... it’s just a show of him caring !

he broke up with ronnie via the notion that he needs to step back as far away as possible from the lodges. he still loves / cares about her so much & wants to support her / be friends, but it’s a scary time for him. he needs to disaffiliate w lodge industries, & get back to his roots ! he’ll focus on being her friend, & honestly, that’s what they both need right now.

speaking of roots, archie has been spending A LOT of time w betty ! they’re next door neighbors / best friends, so naturally, he’s going to her with a lot of his fears. when he can’t sleep at night ??? he calls her. when he's tryin not to be alone ??? he calls her. various other issues ?? u guessed it. all her. she’s become his literal girl friday, & it’s inevitably making him think about her a ton ?? while he’s at it, he’s been pondering their kiss, & is allowing himself to recognize the immense feelings he’s had for her. even tho he KNOWS he’ll never be good enough for her, he’s finally willing to let himself try to be. he doesn’t want to hurt her again, though, so he’ll walk on egg shells until she’s ready !

I THINK that’s everything I may be missing some.

I didn’t include if I read the manga AND saw the anime- like with Sailor Moon, Sugar Sugar Rune, etc. I also didn’t include any of the Precure movies because I don’t know I feel like that’s overkill??? I also started reading the Magical Girl Raising Project Light Novels so those would be shoved in there too I guess.

A lot of these series are missing from MyAnimeList list because I intend to re-watch them and it’s a good way to keep track of things I haven’t re-watched recently. (now if only I remembered to update what episodes of things I’m currently watching lmao)
