Cesdoc, how I interpret them personally

no make up allen is probably borderline unrecognisable to cesare, he shows up to work without makeup and cesare has a fly swatter ready to shoo him away because he thinks hes some unsolicited customer who decided to walk into the truck lmao

His hair and voice makes him recognisable in the end

I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the last scene in chapter 7 of @maxrowave's cesdoc fic reminded me of this. So I had to draw it

I don't know why I didn't promote it in the first place but I realise I should probably mention, I'm writing fanfiction! It's Bigtop Burger and it is Cesdoc which might end up deterring a lot of people, but I still heavily... recommend that you give it a read, in terms of romance it actually isn't very heavy on that aspect and it can easily be overlooked as just a friendship character study. It's my first time attempting a proper long fanfiction with 12 chapters planned to be written and approx ~24k words altogether So far, it's being updated weekly, if you like flowery pretentious language, this is your calling.

Anyways, i have an essay on Cesdoc and a potential storyline/au that's been rotating in my head that I will now force you guys to listen to.

Okay so it's no new news that Cesare is an immortal being and has outlived every single thing he attaches himself to, so he doesn't root himself in anything, not even his identity makes it through the passage of time. All he has is his name to keep. Then there is Allen, unstoppable force against an immoveable object, he kindles the relationship between the two because he envies Cesare's apathy to the forces of this chaotic temporary world they live in (bc he thinks its cool to be carefree or whatever). Cesare contrarily, envies how empathetic Allen is to their surroundings. It is precisely because everything is temporary and everything will one day end for him, Allen is able to live life to the fullest. Cesare can't have that luxury.

But what he can do is he clings to Allen, who can make him feel alive all over again. There is a very fine balance in being aware of the nihilistic tendencies of the world, so I've been sitting on this idea of Cesare going off the wrong end. He's horrible at emotions because he's spent so long never having to deal with it, he has never experienced grief in his thousands of years, and the grief of nihilism is one that is very hard to get through. Adult tantrum time lmao...

He so badly just wants Allen to stay with him, I think of a scenario where he wants Allen to join him as a watcher, even if it means killing him himself. It can go both ways, but because it's the first thing that's coming to mind, I don't think he can bring himself to because it is in immortality that ruins the world. It is in Cesare's learned empathy he chooses not to kill Allen for knowing how brutal it is to the psyche and he won't inflict that onto Allen even though it's what he wants so bad...

ok thanks for coming to my ted talk... I think it could make for an interesting fic but god forbid I do another one for another year after I finish Silence
