warranted by your recent post I have arrived to ask ur very much wanted opinion on ur personal cobymeppo head cannons on what u think their dynamic is like, like- what things from the anime and live action do you prefer over the other and take as final canon and what are the things that you just simply refuse to acknowledge or dont personally like about whats said or occurred between them? basically just certain personality traits or scenes and stuff

Oh! Their dynamic huh… I never really thought of that before 😅😅😅

Well I haven’t got to the point where I see them again (I’m on punk hazard) but I try to answer this question as best as I can 😁

The Live Action

There’s a lot of things that I preferred in the live action. (since it was the hook that reeled me into the world of kobymeppo/meppokoby 🤭)

They have more interaction and meppo doesn’t have as much of a golden stick of nepotism up his ass (as he did the episode of kobymeppo in the anime) he’s more (how do i say this) gentle and low-tempered,

i just can’t wait to see their interactions when they do the adaptation of the diary of kobymeppo!! *squeal* and i can’t wait to see their interaction with one another at marineford too!

i can’t wait to see them as chore boys as well🤭

Anime

I was watching the anime before i watched the live action, but around the end of water 7 when we see their glow ups i had that ultimate thought (“wait, do people ship koby and helmeppo together?”)

after searching it up and with that thought in hand, i went to go watch opla (not because of the ship thing i watched bc my brothers were watching it too)

and after the infamous bar scene and looking through tumblr for like minded folks my life and view on them has never been the same since (the kobymeppo fungus entered my brain) so watching the anime after opla was a breeze 😁 (it was not 😭)

When I first started marineford, every time they were together on screen i couldn’t help but smile 😭😭 ace’s death wasn’t even the worst part of the arc for me, it was me seeing the pink and yellow speckled flower of shounen-ai blooming in front of me🩷💛

just seeing them together made me TWEAAAK‼️‼️‼️😭😭

What I Don’t Like About The Canon

The vivre cards and due to them the “age gap” between them. and the no-funners that persist on using them. (whether they acknowledge it or not) This is the ONLY thing that i don’t like about the canon

The vivre cards state that koby pre-ts is 16 while helmeppo is 20 (4 year gap)

Ocean (cobymeppocean) made some age headcanons for them and I really like them so i have those headcanons too but some no-funner on twitter (the screenshot was taken on nitter bc i didn’t have twitter back then, do NOT find this person’s account i block on both twitter and here.)

they were pretty much shitting on his headcanons and they didn’t even bother to CENSOR HIS USERNAME.

be aware, their ages have been ambiguous for YEARS it was only in 2018 that their ages have been “confirmed”. The ages strawhats have been confirmed since VOLUME 4 (over TWO DECADES AGO.) that’s too many years too late!

And along with the yamato/kiku trans “discourse” is actually the main reason why i refuse to see the vivre cards as actual resources for ANYTHING one piece related.

But with that, that’s really all i have to say about them, really! I love them so much 🥰

like seriously tumblr made revenue by ads in the beginning, but when a company starts putting out merch and all that, its not that they need the money its that they need the incentive

big corps have literally no incentive if they arent making more money

but you can still tell them how you want them to make their money

the blue checkmark the crabs the merch, even though no one actually cares about us the users, they obviously are more in tune and are making relative shit to our interests

literally they have crabs you can buy or gift someone who has a use for that other than someone who wants it

Twitter demands verification as way to keep up a real identity and has the same type of culture that instagram has. which is 'you have to be you, and you have to be on display, and you have to pay to be on display'

tumblr doesnt have that. the verification check mark means literally nothing its for fun and its a choice

the ad free shit is even a choice bc the ads arent really in your face except for a few times that ads have had automusic

its all a choice and a true choice, not one where they know people are going to need it

tumblr isnt great but its the only place i can think of where you dont have to censor your self and you can be truly anonymous without the feeling of having to display yourself

i mean at its core. obviously in the real internet world, purity has become a thing and the internet culture has turned to expecting ppl to lay out their disabilities and their life

if you come across people who make you feel like you need to come out or demand shit from you, you block them

my timeline is being curated to be happy stuff, and when it isnt i scroll past it

i used to feel a lot of shame. now i question it, like that post: why am i being made to feel shame? and is it nescessary

and majority of the time the answer is no, that guilt tripping could have easily been kind or better explained

im sick of the internet trying to make me feel guilt and shame like im in a fucking evangelical catholic church, instead of simply...giving information

people are allowed to be upset but like that post was not upset, it was to feel superior to people who disagree

and its very obvious and still i almost fell for it

If tumblr starts pushing shit on us that is when there can be a conversation, not a guilt trip monologue

but for now, show them incentive by making your choice of whether or not you want to make donations like buying merch

again, they don't need money, they need incentive, which is money. that is how it works unfortunately

ks stans that im talking about are not kd stans. I do follow both ks and ji individualy, so i know how people who don´t ship/support kd react to ji and its exctaly like the anons you post. I will censor, but i see more *** and *** talking, while ji don´t, when they do, those ks stans praise and talked abt real friendship. Ji is non-existent in ks life or if they happen to have a moment it will be erase and not talked about, complete different than any other ks moments with anybody.(1)

(2) kd stans are in a big portion ks stan. Not your case or mine, but its big thing. And most of them can easily ship ks with other member, even when they say they believe kd is real, i see that many times before here, foruns, twitter. So they only care enough to defend ji when it connect to ks sexuality or kd themselves in a direct attack. Comments like you post they won´t care, cause it focus on ji, not ks or kd. ps: you dont need to post it. Im just annoyed by it, been seen i for a long time.

regarding your (1), back in 2015, i was friends with a bunch of ks stans who ‘hardcore shipped’ kd, but all of a sudden, they jumped ship and started to truly shit on kd stans (when i hv always perceived them as crazy kd stans). Day by day i realized they felt threatened by kd, because kd seem too real, and they didn’t actually want ks to be gay, they want ks to date them (lolol). ofc thats just one example and can’t rep all ks stans but i think thats one of the most logical explanations to why ks stan hate kd, but love other ships. It is a very interesting psychology as well, normally people love whoever their bias love, and it is very obvious that ks loves ji regardless kd is real or not, yet ks stan doesn’t share ks’ sentiment and hate on ji all the time

secondly, yeah I dont need to post them, but i like making fun of those shitty people. and i am super bored. LOL

honestly, after 7 years of supporting kaisoo, after making theories for kxk and being shitted on being soofection for so many years... i don’t try to convert / convince non shippers to believe in kaisoo now, bc theres no point.

and like idm ‘reassuring’ kd supporters when i have time because i remember being a panicky baby when i first started tumblr too. so now that i am mature, don’t worry / panic about anti-kd rumours anymore, idm helping others out. whether they asked for my help or not

this entire fascist thing is pissing me off so much because like... people my age? they don't care. they don't *know*. We weren't taught how the government works, we weren't even told how many political parties there are (in the parliament rn) and where they stand. Most of us don't read the news (or watch/ listen to it) and when we do, we have no idea who to trust because everyone seems to have hidden interests nowadays and it feels like sooner or later our news source will be exposed too. How do I tell ppl my age, the future of this country, that this is happening here; that it isn't just in other countries? How can I convince them that TVI hosting this dick actually matters bc it's the same as opening ur front door & telling fascists to sit down & spread their message to ur family & friends, without seeming like i'm exaggerating? when it was w trump we told ourselves "how dumb they were! so many red flags! we'll never let this happen & this is happening & no one cares

The issue starts, I think, with not giving enough credit to young people.

I have had this debate far too often and every single time I’m hit with the ‘BUT THEY DO TEACH POLITICS IN SCHOOL, IT’S CALLED HISTORY’

like, no, fuck off, that’s not politics. That’s history. You’re taught how we came to be, the history of our country and a very nuanced idea of how fascism was around and how it fell and how the 1976 constitution came to be. But we lack an actual FUCKING subject taught in every school about citizenship.

I had a debate about this on twitter and the first people to complain that ‘kids don’t know shit these days’ also jumped on me tell me ‘LOL yeah like anyone’s gonna care about that’ well, not with that attitude. I mean, fuck you, if your entire attitude towards young people and teenagers in general is just gonna be ‘they don’t care, so why bother’ then suck on your fucking thumb.

I blame the older generation for everything, I’m sorry.

There’s also another issue, which is how biased our news outlets are.

Almost all of the popular newspapers and TV stations are owned by the same like, three different companies. You’re either giving money to Belmiro or Sonae or whoever the fuck it is, I’m sorry, I keep confusing Belmiro with Jerónimo Martins. There’s also the issue of clickbaiting and the collapse of traditional news outlets, they wail, in the face of facebook, but instead of improving that, they allowed themselves to get grilled by the two dudes on Truques da Imprensa Portuguesa (remember what Público did to them? How they raised this whole campaign to defame them, revealing their identity and spreading lies about them? And how it actually made them more popular?). Don’t forget Público has been firing some of the best journalists of the past 10 years as well, so we’re left with Ana Leal and her sensationalist bullshit news stories, with that Fox News montage.

I mean, it’s hard out there for a teen to make it into a responsible citizen and we’re the ones to blame---yes, I’m conflating myself with the older generation now, hello thirties.

It’s important that we don’t let history get erased. It’s important that we keep the memory alive of those who suffered in the past. And it’s very important that we communicate with each other. Cut this generational bullshit, stop shitting on teenagers because you think you were so much better when you were their age, oh my God, Carla, you weren’t. You were a piece of shit like the rest of us.

I tell people this: whenever there is a controversial topic being discussed, go back to the source. Take the example of Article 13. Some bimbo youtuber made a video freaking out about it, and I think it was TVI who did a piece saying that Article 13 actually was only there so content creators could be paid! Which is not only a lie, it was a deliberate omission of the real issue. And after this, they asked teens: so, do you think it’s that bad? And they said, oh no in that case no!

I mean, a lot of people I know tell me: kids these days only care about instagram and shit. And I have an analogy I love using: if you had a kid and gave him pizza every fucking day of his life, and he became obese at 6 years old and had cavities at 7, would you blame him or would you blame yourself? Is a kid at fault for being given and fed the shit YOU chose to give him without liberties?

Take a look at my fucking nephew! He’s 6, he has an xbox, a nintendo switch, a PS3, a hoverboard, a ferrari watch and has had 3 tablets. More times than I can count, he’s logged on to youtube and posted videos OF HIMSELF saying ‘hey welcome to my room!’ and his parents scold him---a little slap here and there, btu NOTHING else changes. He is left unsurpivised on youtube at. all. times. Those weird ass videos youtube is trying to censor, catered for kids but filled with violence? He’s watched them all. Do you think his parents did anything about it?

But this christmas, when he threw a tantrum because I WANT TO PLAY ON THE SWITCH!!!!!!!! do you think either his mother or his brother blamed themselveS? NOPE it was the kid’s fault!

Like, you don’t raise a fucking monster and then play victim. You had all the resources available and chose this.

So, people ym age and older: be fucking understanding of teens. If they ask you a question, fucking answer it however stupid it might sound to your ears. Help. Guide them. Don’t be a dick. Don’t act all high and might and say ‘I CANT EBLIEVE YOU DONT’ KNOW THAT!!!’ because mayhe they really don’t, but the more you act like a fucking dick, the less questions he’s gonna ask, and that’s a conscious vote you just lost.

So yeah, this was all our doing.

probably snuggled up, or at least it starts like that? i guess after the stuff(tm) im very soft and gentle w him, kissing wrists and any other area that might hurt. surprisingly hes a very calm sleeper and usually we dont move around too much. whats that line in ghostbusters 2 about choking on her hair asleep- thats me w my boi, since im the big spoon and have to deal w a veritable river of pink. but its totes worth it and revenge for my own mess of hair lol

oh gosh we are the teasiest to each other. though we kinda got to an agreement theres certain things we dont tease each other about, like my back problems and insecurity about myself (which he wouldnt want to do anyways) and me w calling his works and stuff ‘dumbass’ or such (which i wouldnt want to do either). but everything else is fair game, sometimes my teasing devolves into “damnit why are you so pretty” and he counters to my flusteredness

oh gosh would i love to. i can see two situations- the two of us (maybe w the whole crew) on the mansions roof, im terrible at it but am having a ton of fun, baja blast sama probably helps everyone w the basics mom too oops but eventually everyone goes off in groups to let them both have some time together, eventually we decide to not try to figure it out and just enjoy watching the sky. the other option is between seasons i take him to griffith bc i need. and its nostalgic and kinda sad but at the end we look at the stars from it

i give it all to kanae for the rent they all have missed lol. but theres like 20 bucks (or 2,000 yen) left over so i buy everyone dinner or something? he gets to pick it out after a bit of grumbling

probably instruments? music? tho usually i get it at least from him humming something, and vice versa. also hair conditioner probably, and hair brushes. one time my brovacado hides all the brushes as a prank (which i encourage him to do) its like the worst but afterwards the two of them are on better terms so ill sacrifice a messy hair day for that

i try my best tbh ;w; id say we both do a decent job. uncertainty leaves me an anxious crying mess and though he doesnt get it much (uncertainty is this boys lifeblood) he comforts me until the anxiety has subsided. sometimes he’ll have nightmares, the worst when remembering his past and i always wish i could do more but just hold him. though sometimes im a wimp and the reason im scared is bc we just saw like knk or something and i dont wanna get attacked by ghosts or somethin

1) that one thing i admire abt you. I like you can take you time to support insecure kd shipper. We may come our long way to see s*m strategy, promotions and how kd are into that system. Other may not. Support them in a way is support kd. I think so, at least. 2) I know one acc that i wont mention or censor that was super into kd, but now, its like kd never exist, because they didnt like that support kd would make it less possible (?) for them to support other ks/ji shippers. they (1)

(2) they now erase pretty much every kd contend they had. they say they still believe in kd, imo, they don´t. Maybe cause i dont see the point of you to stop posting abt something you truly belive, just because you want to post abt other shippers. So yes, that a lot of that around when it comes to kd shipper, from both side, more often ks, but it happens to ji too, but i feel indirectly it happen because ks start doing all those straight kissing drama and project became more easy than before.(3)
