I'm not giving you the finger, I promise. So sorry I have been MIA lately. I have had a LOT goin on behind the scenes. On Monday I was admitted to the @queenvictoriahospital for emergency hand surgery. I suffer with #raynaudssyndrome and one of the complications of that is if I have any cuts etc on my fingers they are more prone to infection. Well long story short, I have been battling with a numb, cold and blue finger since early April and have been begging the #NHS to deal with this as a priority ever since. Despite a course of stong antibiotics, an A&E visit, multiple GP appointments, referrals to two vascular surgeons in two hospitals, blood tests, many #NHS111 calls and finally a trip to #CaterhamDene urgent care centre, a full on infection developed on the side of my finger. Over the weekend the infection worsened causing me to literally lose my rag at the hospital which resulted in finally someone listening to me and trying to resolve this issue holistically. They referred me to the #QueenVictoriaHospital who have 🤞🏾 sorted the issue. I may be missing a nail, but hopefully the infection is gone. It's gonna need dressings for a couple of weeks but I'm hopefully on the mend x Huge thank you to all the staff at #QVH especially Catherine & Tracy from Rowntree and Gina from Ross Tilley Ward.
