Have you ever seen an orange rose as beautiful as this one! Well, I haven’t. I photographed this beauty in La Jolla, California, where I recently went for a trip. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the variety, but I would love to, since I think it is absolutely gorgeous. The wired thing is, that usually I am not a big fan of the color orange but this rose has won me over. It was grown together with dark purple salvia, which you can see in the background, and this made for a stunning color combination. I am curious to hear what you think. Cottage garden, California style! Look at that vigorous Climbing Cecile Brunner rose totally engulfing the rustic wood arbor. Isn’t that glorious? The photo was taken on my recent trip to La Jolla, California, but I have seen a Cecile Brunner rose growing up the side of a building at a local nursery here in Austin as well. I am tinkering with the idea of planting this rose in my own garden and let it climb along a fence. What do you think, shall I give it a try? Anyone having experience with growing this rose? Time flies when you are traveling and my seven days in La Jolla, California went by very quickly! I am back home in Austin now, but the memories of the beautiful roses that I came across in Southern California will stay with me for a long time! Take this gorgeous white Iceberg rose for example. I love how the light illuminates the white rose blooms and makes them look as if they are glowing. Iceberg roses are pretty common in California but their enchanting beauty will never cease to delight me. I hope you are enjoying seeing these pretty rose flowers as well! We are having a heat wave in Austin, (93F/ 34 today) and I am missing not only the roses but also the cooler temperatures. One of our air condition units failed and I am so thankful that it got replaced yesterday! At least my husband, the dogs, and I can cool ourself off indoors, again! What a blessing!
