okay wait I'm writing an actual post so I can start handling all these emotions

for the hockey ask thing: 1, 13, and/or 19? :)

hey hon! sorry these are so late - my inbox has been glitching

1. Favorite team? a tie between the caps and the leafs. i’m a born and bred caps fan and i will cry if we ever actually win a cup, guaranteed. the leafs, well, the leafs snuck up on me. i didn’t expect to fall in love with them, but i couldn’t help it. i root for/follow nearly half the league, but no one tops those two.

13. When/how did you first get into hockey? there are kind of two parts to this answer. my dad’s a sports journalist, so i grew up around hockey, going to practices with him sometimes. him covering the caps also coincided with them starting to get good again at the beginning of the “ovechkin era”. i’ve always said hockey is my favorite sport, but i was a pretty casual fan until college, really. going to bu, where hockey is such a Thing and having jack eichel there my freshman year re-ignited my interest in hockey. 

i also took about a two year break from tumblr at the end of hs/start of college, which lasted until i discovered omgcp last spring, meaning i was on tumblr for the world cup this fall. after that, i fell head-long back into my love of hockey. whoops.
