Okay so here’s my Kahlopatra thoughts before I go back to being a td blog

Up until episode 8 I LOVED the Kahlopatra treatment. Them tripping and stumbling on their differences but still loving and caring about each other was so nice to see!

And Cleo defending Frida and her work to Scudworth in the scuba episode really shows how much they care about each other and how different her relationship with Frida is from Cleo’s other relationships. Cleo did NOT care about her previous romantic partners, only what she could get from them, but here we see her prioritize Frida’s happiness for real in the end, even if it means she doesn’t get expensive presents anymore.

I also love the fact that they were the school’s power couple and that they ditched together to hang out, they really adored each other and it was sweet. Which is also why episode 8 blindsided everyone. And if I can be controversial here, I kinda liked the general premise of episode 8 with them because I feel like it did give Cleo some nice development, but the breakup was just. So shitty. And unnecessary. Writers literally fucked it up right in the home stretch for no reason, the assholes.
