One similarity between Nero and Vergil that I don't see many people talking about is that they're both fathers.
For Vergil, it was just the result of like, one night. He didn't even know that he had a son for said sons entire life. That isn't to say that he doesn't care about him (I firmly believe that post-dmc 5, Vergil and Nero bond in some way and maybe become friends) but he definitely didn't mean to have a child.
For Nero, it's stated in the book (I forget which one) that he and Kyrie start fostering kids. Now, that's doesn't necessarily mean that he is a father, but he's definitely a father figure, and he absolutely chose to be one. He went out of his way to help kids, and give them a potential parental figure.
I just think that it's really interesting that they have a similarity like that, but in such a different way
I'm so sorry for taking so long to get to this (I forgor)
But I've thought about this too a little! I haven't read Before the Nightmare yet so I don't know the details, but I think it's awesome of Nero and Kyrie to take in kids when they're so young.
Becoming a father on accident vs on purpose! <3
Also do you ever think about how Vergil is already a grandfather when he didn't even know he had a child himself? lol
I also believe that post-DMC5, Nero and Vergil form a relationship. It certainly won't be easy, because there's a lot of trauma and hurt involved. But I think it's something both of them really want, and they're both willing to work for it. Vergil especially needs to be putting the work in, as he has a lot to make up for.
