and, it’s okay. i mean! it isn’t! personally, i think how you worded that was perhaps a bit too… abrasive, and maybe a little bit rude, and i’m honestly terrible at standing up for myself but that doesn’t have much to do with this haha! but, i also understand where your concern may have been coming from. but, also, please know that i would never intentionally try to steal someone else’s idea. never. and if you ever have any other concerns about ideas that maybe sound just a tad too similar to someone else’s?? feel free to ask me!! i will do gladly give you links to my pinterest boards, lay out all my plans and ideas for future fics with different pairings and different ideas and concepts that will probably never be done, haha!!

but, you are also incredibly correct as well. i did a little bit of twitter digging ew, and it turns out that ricky did offhandedly mention the premise on twitter. so, that’s also my bad as well for not remembering :’D my brain must’ve stored this sweet little morsel of a prompt, and, well, you know what they say! if you wanna see something specific on ao3, might as well just write it yourself, haha! so, i don’t blame you or hate you or anything like that for your concern, if you’re worried :) and, honestly, if ricky himself or if someone had asked, ‘oh! were you by chance inspired by this from this person?’ i absolutely would’ve gone digging anyways and said, ‘oh my gosh, yes, actually! haha! go blame ricky for the atrocities i’m about to commit :D’ … if it helps? there were also quite a few thoughts about tattoo artist swiss and piercer rain, haha!! and not just the dynamic that apparently both ricky and myself are quite partial to.

i like to think i’m a decent person, so if you ever have a question about something i’ve said or done, please feel free to ask! i didn’t think that i had seen ricky publish anything on ao3 relating to this? if i had though, or kept better attention to his blog because i guess they’ve been teasing it and i’m silly and don’t know what notification settings are— i most certainly would’ve given credit, and asked for permission, and probably asked again before publishing just to be sure!! haha! but, i will only accept your apology based on how you expressed your concern, and not for doing it in the first place. so, i hope you’re not doing that, haha! stealing credit for ideas is a serious thing no matter the fandom, and, truly, i’m glad that you expressed this concern to me.

but, uhm, yeah :) it’s okay. just… please be careful in the future. I obviously don’t know who you are, but you seem sweet and you seem genuine, and i wouldn’t want you getting hurt for the wrong reasons
