is anyone else just wondering what would've happened to Jesse if he didn't get saved when he was being pulled towards the command block in ep 2 (I think) of season 1?

My money is on that he would've just disappear and die.

Although I'm curious about that because Ivor specifically linked the command block to the amulet and the amulet only, what would've happened to Jesse? It is technically possible to take multiple items out of an inventory. for example, when Jesse drops to the underground in ep 2 of season 2. He claims his stuff is gone, he obviously didn't die. So would it be possible for the command block to wield such control as to only take out the amulet? (Logical answer: possibly not)
