when people ask me what the biggest cultural difference is between Canada and the US I think I should start telling them the weirdest one, which is that in Canada 99% of people pronounce my name correctly and in the US even people who have heard me say my own name multiple times (some of whom I've worked with FOR A YEAR) whiff it on at least 75% of attempts.

hey guys!!!! important!!!
do you like video games? do you like steampunk stuff? do you like ttrpgs and dnd? are you interested in larps or learning about them? if so, then I highly reccomend that you tune into the Cogs virtual live event tonight streaming on twitch! it's happening right now and they're doing panels on all of this stuff, and at 9pm est they're going to be playing phasmaphobia with some very big names in steampunk! I personally know many of the people running and participating in this event, and they're all absolutely lovely people genuinely trying to make a fantastic event for steampunks, gamers, and anyone in between. you can watch their stream here, and find them on social media through their website here! while their convention have brought in over 1,200 people, their streaming is much less well-known and it would be such a big help to tune in! happy watching!!!
edit: forgot to mention that they're not only lgbt+ friendly, but many of the people on stream are lgbt+ themselves!! theyll also be streaming all weekend, showing a bunch of different awesome people talking about really cool and important stuff!!! additionally, one of the panels that they're doing tonight is an interactive panel with two incredibly talented dm's where you can ask them all kinds of questions! please tune in!!!!
