Yeah, it almost seems as if some people nowadays are not here for CR as a whole (cast, characters, projects etc.) but only for their faves, everything else will be hated on or ignored. Or am I imagining things?

I suspect it's always been the case that some people have taken this approach, and again, a four-hour-per-week episode is not exactly a light commitment even if that is the only thing you watch, but yeah. I made a post a while back about how specifically it feels like Marisha used to have a particularly passionate fanbase, and now people are really only interested in Laudna and have no interest in watching her running a one-shot or playing Bee Monroe in Candela Obscura (or anything she has to say about creative direction). And similarly, there were, at least in Campaign 2, people who took the "only my favorite character is important" approach but most of those people didn't make it to Campaign 3 as a result (because their favorite character is not there) and it definitely feels like C3 especially has a large cohort that's really only here for like, one or two characters.

I've seen some people do this so why not! Give your moots Valentine's ships?

I ended up being very strong and NOT buying the fried oreos...but that's likely because I'd already caved on a pina colada juice and my stomach was already like "gurl" so it was really my only course of action. XD

Keeping up slowly! I'm actually literally as I type watching episode 30 of C3, so I'm a few weeks behind, but catching up. I'm kinda half-half on C3 so far, which is probably WHY I'm not instantly caught up yet. I generally like all the characters, but I think their interplay together is still developing, so they're a little less compelling as a group yet. And the story itself seems a bit slow thus far? I don't remember how long it took for me to get into C2 fully, but I feel like it was quicker than this. I'm still enjoying it and want to see where it goes, but am less eager than I was with C2.

Lol, I still have not finished C1. I got through 3/4 of it, they beat the conclave and are now off to hell, and I'm just like.......that doesn't seem good. And you're all alive right now. And I'm pretty sure you all don't stay alive. Maybe I'm just going to pretend this is where it ends. Idk. I have very little interest in finishing right now, but maybe I will one day. [But I did watch the animated show finally, and really enjoyed it!]

Shisui Uchiha didn’t expect to wake up once more. He certainly didn’t expect to have both of his eyes. Here he is, living among Auradon’s evillest and cruelest of villains in the isle of the lost.

A few days has passed since my original embarked on his mission. The old wizard may not tell me but he showed some signs of worry. It doesn't help that Mousey's been asking the unasked question, between the members of the Anti-Hero club at least, twice per day.

Which was why I made my decision.

"I'm going to conjure a clone and dispel myself." I announced to the wizard and his young apprentice.

"Are you capable of doing such?" Yen Sid questioned.

"Yes, all clones like me have always been capable of doing the same feats as our original." I explained as I stretched my limbs. "Not unless the clones are of the illusory and elemental variant." I added.

"Huh? Why is that?" Sophie pondered.

"That's because of the nature of the chakra Mousey." I answered. "The combined physical and mental energy within one's body in my world." I explained. "Illusory clones won't be able to do jutsus as they're not really there, they only serve as a distraction for the opponent."

"That makes sense." Sophie nodded.

"However the elemental clones are only limited to the element that comprises their chakra." I quickly added. "Earth clones would only be able to do Earth jutsus."

"Fire clones can only do fire magic, water clones can only do water magic." Sophie finished my explanation.

"That's correct." I nodded. "However Mousey, what I do isn't magic." I said to the young girl as I kneeled in front of her. "We've been over this." I added.

"You had better give up Mr. Shisui." Diego's voice cut in. "Everyone in this club has decided to call what you do as magic."

"Wait what?" I jumped in exclamation.

"It's the closest thing we can associate." The new arrival shrugged. "We're not exactly from your world, so your chakra concepts are foreign to us." He explained their reasoning. "Besides all of us don't have the chakra circulatory system in our bodies like you and the people of your world do."

Yes everyone, Yen Sid included, doesn't have a chakra circulatory system or at least a chakra core. I checked everyone in this island with my Sharingan.

"Fine." I sighed in resignation. "You do present a good point."

"It also helps everyone understand the concept by assimilating what you do with the concepts they're already familiar." Yen Sid sagely stated.

"If we're done, lunch is ready." Diego beckoned for us to follow him.

"Why don't you eat first before conjuring another clone?" Mousey suggested.

"Maybe I'll do just that."

A huge set of memories began to seep inside my mind. As I sorted through them, I realized that days has passed since I embarked on this mission. While the members of the club weren't worried, Yen Sid and Mousey certainly were.

As I was about to conjure a clone, the land beneath me shook as a colony of bats began to attack me. I immediately grabbed hold of my flashlight and shone some light unto the animals.

It got me the result I expected, these flying rodents made a sound of anger and retreated away from the flashlight I turned on.

"I thought there was someone following us a man's voice began. "It's just some nobody who wanted to escape the isle." He sounded disappointed. "I would love to torture that sorcerer and get us out of here."

"You forget that Yen Sid's a powerful wizard of his own merit." A regal voice disagreed.

"Hmmph, sorcery is no match to the cosmic powers of a genie." The man arrogantly dismissed the woman's claim.

"If that was the case, poof us out of here!" Another female voice spoke. "This place is dirty and the fur I'm wearing all have mud all over them."

"Umm." I decided to cut into their conversation. "But Yen Sid can just summon your lamp and imprison you there." I offered as I watched my every surrounding.

"And so the brat speaks." The whining woman spoke

Brat.

I suppose to these people I may look like just a teenaged boy who took the opportunity

"Show some respect you lowlife." The regal voice from before ordered as she revealed herself to me.

"The Evil Queen." I identified the woman.

"That's Your Majesty to you peasant." The Queen glared.

"You're quite handsome boy." The other woman stated as she stepped into the light. "You'd do quite well washing my car and fluffing my fur."

"Cruella de Vil."

"So why are you here, you street rat?" The man snarled his question as he too revealed himself.

"Jaf-"

"That's your grace to you, you street rat." Jafar cut me off.

"I'm here to bring you three back to the isle." I answered the question. "I can't have you causing problems for Carlos and the others."

The three did not respond to my claim and instead laughed at it. To be completely honest, I expected that kind of reaction from them.

After all what could a boy do in the face of the three most terrifying villains of Auradon.

"You, a mere boy, plan to take us back to the isle?" Jafar asked.

"Yes."

"Don't kid yourself street rat!" The genie snarled as he waved his scepter, make-shift scepter, and conjured red bolts of electricity and fired them in my direction. "You're a hundred years too early to rain on my parade boy!"

I immediately dodged the incoming bolts of lightning only to be attacked by a swarm of insects to my face.

Thinking fast, I turned around and ran towards the man, while dodging the lightning bolts that came from his scepter as the insects chased me.

As soon as I was near enough to the genie, I immediately jumped over him, in the hopes of the insects attacking him instead of me.

I heard the sound of glass breaking then I suddenly found myself bound to a tree that literally came out of nowhere, the bees were mysteriously missing. My hands were tied together behind the tree while a few vines were around my stomach and neck that started to tighten itself around them.

I struggled to free myself as the three villains approached my bound form.

"You're not bad boy." Jafar praised me. "No one was able to think quickly while in battle, not even our adversaries, the lot of them got out of their predicaments through outside help." He continued.

"You'd make a fine henchman boy." The Queen voiced "It's useless to struggle." She added. "That tree will only set you free once you're on our side." The evil royal smirked.

"Tick tock boy." Cruella stated." We aren't going to wait all day." She smiled as I began to hear hisses from the tree's leaves.

Lo and behold, five snakes made themselves known as they slithered their way to me.

"Finally!" I exclaimed as I formed a tiger seal with my bound hands then breathed out smoke from my mouth and escaped from the tree's grasp.

I immediately replaced myself with a nearby log from the predicament I was in. It was clear that I couldn't beat these people through brute force. I need to be creative and perform sneak attacks. I immediately hid behind one of the protruding rocks and baited my breath.

The smoke I conjured soon dissipated, no doubt due to the genie's power.

"That commoner managed to escape my tree?" The Evil Queen snarled at the tree's direction. "How?!" She demanded.

"Darling it's clear." Cruella rolled her eyes, ominously calm. "That boy is no ordinary boy." She explained as she walked towards her ally. "Considering the amount of smoke he released from his mouth."

"I see." The fallen genie and queen nodded.

I listened in on their conversation as I jumped from hiding place to hiding place and leave a shadow clone in them.

"We're at a disadvantage as he might know your abilities." Cruella added. "Luckily, our resident genie has provided me of new abilities." The woman smirked. "If you would Jafar."

"Of course." Jafar gave a sinister smile and raised his scepter.

A moment later a pack of animals were summoned before Cruella. It ranged from snakes, wolves, bats, and whatnot.

"Thank you." Cruella expressed her gratitude as she kneeled before the disoriented animals that were just summoned.

The De Vil woman breathed out some sort of green smoke.

The animals breathed in said smoke and their eyes turned green for a moment.

"Now find that street rat." The De Vil ordered her new minions.

From what I can see, Cruella's new ability allows her to mind control any animal that breaths in the green smoke she exhales.

"How are you supposed to do that?" The fallen queen inquired.

Cruella simply ignored the query and made her way towards the tree that had bound me earlier and picked something up.

Narrowing my eyes, I saw a torn cloth that was in the mad woman's hands. I looked down and sure enough a piece of my shirt was torn, probably when I made my escape from the tree's grasp.

No matter, my shadow clones also have my scent so I'm clear.

Cruella let the wolves smell on the torn piece of cloth she has. "Go! Find that imbecile!" She ordered the animals under her whim.

The expected effect was seen as every animal that was conjured by the Agraban genie scattered around the cave and searched for me.

Then I felt one of my clones dispel itself.

It was bitten by one of the wolves.

"My original has found Cruella De Vil. The Evil Queen and Jafar." I announced to Yen Sid. "And has engaged them in battle."

"Oh dear." The wizard replied. "That is not good." He remarked.

"What do we do?!" Sophie shrieked in panic.

"Ssssh." I immediately covered her mouth in an attempt to calm her down and lower her voice. "I probably won't be able to remain here if the battle continues." I admitted.

"If you're not here,-" Sophie paused. "-who's going to take care of the kids here?" She asked in worry.

"Remember the first aid techniques I taught everyone?" I asked the little girl. "You can use those for the meantime." I assured her. "If I remember right, there were a few of you who were quite good at it." I smiled.

"But you still haven't finished teaching us yet!" She argued.

           You couldn’t help but look around the hangar uneasily, everyone getting ready, once again, for the evacuation. Your nervousness was getting the best of you, causing you to tap your boot nervously as you stood obediently beside Holdo and D’Acy. The Vice Admiral had kept a laser sharp focus on you after Poe had, so kindly, called you out. You looked around the hangar once more, trying to spot him in the somewhat organized havoc. You hadn’t seen him since and you sincerely hoped that he wasn’t actually detained. Was that something you should’ve checked? What if he was stuck? Could Rose and Finn even- your mind started humming anxious thoughts about like a swarm of bees within your skull. Your leg shifted from a soft toe tap to a rapid bob of your leg.

           Connix approached you, standing beside you. There was something about her posture and expression that read something was going on that you weren’t sure of. Your head was spinning too fast to take much care of it beyond that. As she seen you bouncing around, she placed a hand on your shoulder.

           “It’s going to be okay.” she spoke with a nod. Something still untold in her eyes. 

           You opened your mouth to speak but stopped upon surveying your surroundings, there was mysteriously a crowd around you now. A smile spread on your face as you heard his boots. Your anxious thoughts slowly began to disperse as you stood to the right behind Holdo, eyes locked on the handsome man before you. You couldn’t help the bit of pride that bubbled in your chest. 

           He told her of the plan - his plan rather, and of course she dismissed it. “Load the transports!” She ordered, looking at you expectantly before attempting to storm off. You stood there, not having moved an inch, with your hands clasped behind your back.

           “Yeah, I was afraid you’d say that.” Poe swiftly turned, back now facing you and blaster raised along with those who conveniently surround you before he waltzed in. Man, he was good. His voice was monotone as he relieved the Vice Admiral of her duties before slipping his blaster back into its holder.  

           “I’m going to the bridge.” This time he looked at you expectantly, and you didn’t hesitate to follow. A smile playing at the corner of your lips. If you weren’t in love with him before, you definitely were now.  “If they move, stun them.” He added before continuing his strides.

           Holdo looked at you incredulously as you followed Poe, “General Organa will hear about this, Captain Y/L/N.” But, there was something off in her tone and eyes as she looked after you. 

           “I’ll brief her myself.” You regarded her, sending a quick salute. You quickly caught up to Poe’s wide strides.

           You looked up at him with a wide, goofy smile, but he only looked down on you. “I had no right to blame you earlier.”

           You shrugged, “I was bound to piss you off eventually. I’m just glad we got it out of the way.”

           His face fell into that grin you loved so much as he laughed out, “I can’t wait to take you on a date.” 

           Your steps faltered as a blush spread across your entire body. You had too scurry to catch up again. Poe radioed in to BB-8, who replied a simple “here’s Finn” to which Finn quickly updated Poe. You tried not to harp too much on the nervous tone that Poe’s voice held.

           You all quickly reached the bridge in no time. Poe immediately requested the bridge to be clear much to C3-PO’s discontent. He quickly readied himself in the main control chair - you couldn’t help the, completely inappropriate and inopportune, dreamy thoughts of wow he looks good there, could he get any more attractive, and hot damn. 

           “Sir, I am almost afraid to ask.” 3-PO continued, even as you tried to lure him away from a determined Poe. 

           “Good instinct, 3-PO. Go with that.” Poe didn’t falter in cutting power to the main hangar. Just as you readied a station to help in whatever he needed - Poe yelled for the door to be sealed as he noticed that smoke and blaster beams shooting across his video monitor. Connix immediately followed orders. 

           C3-PO started murmuring about Protocols and before you could talk him off the ledge, Poe noticed and started asking where he was going. Only to be stopped when another door burst into smoke with red lines appearing around the edges. Someone was cutting through the door; you couldn’t help the wide-eyed look you sent Poe as you tried to move C3-PO farther from the door. 

           Poe yelled to Finn anxiously before yelling at you anxiously to take cover. You quickly slide behind a mounted desk, looking over the edge at the door nervously. Your tried to tell yourself you didn’t need to rely on a man but you really wished you were beside Poe right now. 

           You noticed he readied the ship for the jump, turning the chair and using it as protection as he aimed his blaster. Even with the impending storming of the bridge, everyone in the room could still hear that Rose and Finn had been busted. Your voice caught in your throat, heart aching at the thought that they were caught. Which meant their likelihood of surviving were at percentage that even C3-PO would hate to calculate.

           A blast then rocketed the room and you shrunk behind the table, eyes searching for Poe amidst the smoke. He was now standing fully and his blaster ready to fire. He hesitated of course, no matter the situation - we were all still on the same side. Same team. Same mission.

           You seen him falter, then lower his blaster before looking relieved. “Leia!” he breathed, and you instantly stood. Relief washing over you as well but a gasp released all the air in your lungs as she raised her blaster at Poe. She shot without hesitation. The power of the blast sent him flying back, unconscious. 

           Your feet moved before your mind, running to him, sliding into him clumsily as you gently patted his cheek. “Poe. Poe, wake up.” You looked up at Leia, tears were in your eyes even though you knew she would never really hurt him. He wasn’t hurt, you knew, but it was scary watching the man you loved lying on the floor unconscious. Connix and 3-P0 raised their hands in surrender, and you only sat there. Unsure of what to do for the millionth time that day. 

           You let the medical personnel place him on a stretcher, Raena muttering promises that he’d be okay. Suna was still confused as ever as you all followed to the hangar. The General had returned to the bridge after getting dressed and walked beside you silently, you were unsure where you stood with General Organa or what to say.  

           The captain she had personally trained, who she had groomed to be her right hand, had taken part of a mutiny against a superior. You imagined, if you managed to make it out alive, you wouldn’t have much of job after all of this.

           “There is very little you could do, Y/n, that would make me disappointed in you. And…” Leia finally spoke. Here we go, time to find a new job, you thought. “Following your beliefs, or the man you love,” You looked at her in shock and her face replied a ‘really?’. “Are both things that I could never blame or reprimand you for doing.” She finished. 

           You couldn’t help but smile, she nudged you with her elbow then gestured to the unconscious man being carted in front of you. “He does care about you too, ya know.”

           You blushed and nudged her back, “So I’ve heard.”

           The walk to the hangar was pleasant after that, despite the ever present doom still hanging. It felt like the stars had been shifted back into focus and everything was right, even if Poe was still knocked out. 

           You all reached a transport, where Admiral Holdo stood waiting. You cleared your throat and opened your mouth to apologize with humility but she stopped you with a hand raised, “You gotta do what you gotta.” She smiled warmly and you couldn’t help but visibly relax - which caused both Holdo and Leia to chuckle. 

           You stepped up to stand beside Poe’s stretcher, Holdo placing a hand gently on his cheek before Raena asked for help pushing him into the transport. 

           “That one’s a trouble maker. I like him.” she spoke to which Leia add a “Me too” with a chuckle. Holdo then turned to you once again, “You two make a great team.” She added with a wink.

           You blushed and could only give a nod before hustling into the transport behind everyone else. Despite the commotion of the day, the rumors of your budding relationship with the pilot managed to spread even to the high command. 

           You were too engrossed in making sure everyone was settling into the carrier to notice that the Vice Admiral and the General were still talking. 

           “Too many losses. I can’t take anymore.” Leia spoke, sadness laced her voice and expression.

           “Sure ya can.” Holdo smiled, “You taught me how. And you’re teaching Y/n how.”

           The General sat down slowly as the transport took off. It was then that you noticed Holdo staying behind, your heart falling at the realization and magnitude of what she was doing. You placed a hand on General’s shoulder as you flew off, somehow the gesture causing Holdo’s smile to widen before giving a little nod. 

           You were well into space before you heard Poe gasp and dart across the transport, his knuckles hitting the glass in exasperation. You stayed seated beside the General, unsure if you needed to give him a minute before approaching him. He spun wildly, eyes darting around quickly, his posture anxious as he continued scanning the transport - his mouth opened ready to yell something but the General spoke a quiet and calm, “Poe.”

           His eyes shift to hers and he relaxed slightly but his body didn’t fully release the tension until he seen you perched beside her. It took him what looked like two steps to get across the transport to you. His hands met your face as you looked up from your still seated position. He looked over your face, thumbs gently rubbing. He wanted to say something, his face and eyes told you that, but you didn’t know what to say or what he thinking. What you did know, however, was that you had never felt that cared for until that moment. He dropped his hands then cleared his throat, suddenly aware of how close the General and D’Acy were. 

           Leia nodded up and Poe looked shocked, leaning beside you to see the planet we were headed to. D’Acy explained to him that it was once a Rebel base and that it was armored. The General then explained the plan to him as he sat down behind you, looking between D’Acy and Leia. Understanding now what Holdo had planned and the heroism of it all. You bit your lip to control your emotions. 

           Holdo had been brave on levels you couldn’t even comprehend.

Every time I attempted to edit and post, I found something I didn’t like or wanted to add... which would frustrate me and I’d just exit out and watch an episode of One Day at a Time lol so... omg seeing the iconic bee talking cr on my dash was not what i was expecting but i LOVE IT. i read ur final c2 thoughts and agreed a lot , in fact i actually haven’t continued after the fjordjes canonization bc it irked me so much but ik i’ll finish it one day. as far as not watching tlovm bc u might watch c1 i don’t think it’ll detract from the experience at all, bc they’re very same but also not, but it’s your call! it might be good to get invested in the characters since if u start from the very beginning of c1 it definitely is a bit slow compared to the practices nature of c2 where they were all used to the format. i hope you’ll start c3 too! compared w the entire other campaigns it’s still easy to catch up. i’m finishing the most recent ep right now and love it <3

Honestly, it’s fun to talk about!! My whole experience of it has mostly just been me in my apartment watching incessantly and having So Many Feelings and nowhere to put them. Except for my poor handful of friends who have had to endure my occasional uncontainable thoughts, even as they’re all, “okay cool….Idk what this is tho.” 😂

Even through my own active sulk, I’d still say the end of the show is still worth watching. Do it some day!

I think I definitely will eventually watch some combination of the other campaigns and show, I just need a little break first. But loooool the handful of C1 episodes I have watched are SO FUNNY with how low tech and just messy they are. But simultaneously cool to watch them all figure out the game and format as they go? I think it’ll be something I’d like to see, once my head is a bit less C2 focused.

Total Solar Eclipse August 21st 2017

As most of you know, I live almost perfectly down the path of this solar eclipse, and since a total solar eclipse has not come by in, obviously, a very very long time, everyone is excited. If you're in the path of this amazing event, and don't know about things to look for during the Eclipse, or any safety precautions, I'm here to tell you. (I have two science classes and we've talked nonstop about it in both).

Safety:

THE SUN IS A DEADLY LAZER. Looking at it, whether during the Eclipse or not, can and most likely will permanently damage your eyesight. If you are looking at the Eclipse directly, please wear your eclipse glasses!! (Glasses should be removed during totality obviously)

Keep your pets inside, especially if you know them to be super curious. If they look at the sun, they won't know any better and could damage their eyes as well.

I've heard of camera lens being burned by the Eclipse if you try to take a picture of it, and although I'm not sure how true that is, be mindful. Try putting your glasses over the lens, you'll probably get a better picture that way anyway

MOST IMPORTANTLY: Do NOT. DO NOT. Wear your glasses while looking through a telescope or binoculars. You're gonna burn a hole in your glasses. If needed, place glasses on the lens of those items.

Cool things to watch for:

During the partial eclipse (C1)

Temperature is gonna drop

Your pets or animals may behave differently, especially the birds and the bees

Venus becomes visible, which is still cool even though you can already see Venus relatively well on many days

DURING ALL PARTS OF THE PARTIAL ECLIPSE: You can see incredible shadows. When sunlight shines through leaves for example, you see circles and spots or sunshine on the ground. Well, during a partial eclipse, these are the kind of shadows you can see.

Shadow bands (snake shadows) may occur. Look on light concrete or a white sheet during the final minutes of C1, you may see strange snake-like shadows. These are unexplained. It's a possible bending of light.

The diamond ring is super cool, try to get a picture of it! It occurs RIGHT before totality, it's a burst of light when it finally closes onto the sun.

Right near the final moments as well, look for Bailey's Beads! The moon is like earth, it has valleys and mountains, so beads of light can shine through those holes on the edges.

Totality (C2)

Remember to take glasses off, you won't see anything with them on. It will be basically nighttime outside

The corona, a plasma surrounding the sun and the stars, can be seen with the naked eye!

The earth's own shine makes the moon kinda visible

Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter may be seen!

Partial Eclipse (C3)

Put those glasses back on immediately, if staring at it

Look for what we talked about earlier, Bailey's Beads, Diamond Ring, and shadow bands, in the first moments of C3

Enjoy the Eclipse, and take pictures! This is an incredible phenomenon that only occurs on 5 percent of earth's surface each year, and odds are you won't see two in your life time, if you're not someone you chases them.
