i understand the intent was that hades being “such a good dad!” /s is what helps him get away from Kronos’ abuse but it really just comes off as once again a female character getting the burden of being hades’ mental healer. three thousand years hades has been dealing with this but his five year old daughter from the future is what gets him to figure it out? come on

#anti lo #anti lore olympus #if this were a singular issue this wouldn’t be a nitpick for me!#because yeah! sometimes we heal by recontextualizing abuse or neglect #that’s a very real thing that a lot of parents figure out! that if they wouldn’t do this to their kids it wasn’t okay for them 2 go thru it #but hades has had all his mental health “epiphanies” by burdening himself on female characters #he’s had this convo with hera specifically #definitely had it with persephone more than once #and it just reads as hades AGAIN putting an emotional burden on another female
