BabyDaddy!Miguel who tries to make you jealous by flirting with the other soccer moms at Gabi’s games. His charming smile, finely styled hair, tight fitting gym clothes. Did he… intentionally come to her game after hitting the gym?
BabyDaddy!Miguel who overhears Gabi on the phone with you during his weekend with her. Trying to play if off as too invested in the newspaper while relaxed in his recliner, all the while Gabi talks your ear off through the home phone.
BabyDaddy!Miguel showing up “coincidentally” to the same restaurant you and your new boyfriend are having dinner at. The hostess “coincidentally” seating Miguel and his date at a nearby table.
BabyDaddy!Miguel who can’t keep his eyes off you, and is nearly gawking all night over how pretty you look. A dress he’s all too familiar with that hugs your curves like a second skin.
BabyDaddy!Miguel who eyes you scurrying off to the restroom. His hand subtly finding the small of your back as he bumps into you. An intoxicating mix of his musky cologne and minty breath filling your lungs as he leans in close. Joking about the odds of you both being here, hoping to light the match of a subconscious jealousy as he excuses himself back to his date.

Gabi finally being happy that her parents are now together and excited for her little sibling to be born 🥹🥹
Ugh stoop this is so cuuute 😭
Like she knew it was inevitable that they were going to get back together, she could tell because of the way you and Miguel act like all of her friends’ parents who are all together and married. The silly bickering when you’re both trying to figure out what restaurant to go to after her Sunday games because he wants pizza, you want burgers, and she’ll just eat whatever you put in front of her. Both of you would be teasing each other about the others nerdy interest. The way neither of you make backhanded remarks or glare at each other when you think gabi isn’t looking like her friend Emily’s divorced parents do.
Doesn’t mean she isnt jumping over the moon when you finally tell her you and Miguel were finally getting married though.
And when Miguel tells her she’s gonna be an older sister she starts basically bouncing off the walls with excitement. She’s a bit bummed about having to lose her own room once the baby is old enough (since at this point, you and Miguel are living together again) but all of that vanished from her mind when you and Miguel finally come home from the hospital and she gets to hold her little baby sibling for the first time.

Ok I love the image of Miguel being the softest dad ever to Gabi’s baby sibling once they’re born. After years of yearning for Y/N, he finally got to marry her and be parents together 🥹
He’s just too in love with her
😭he’s over the fucking moon now that he has his little family together again with a new addition.
He can’t tell if the second round of new born is easier because of the experience from Gabri or if it’s all just a big thing of déjà vu cuz it’s been so long since he’s had to change a diaper or trying to get the baby to sleep through the night.
At times, it feels soooo overwhelming. The stress of a new baby, rebuilding your old relationship, plus making sure you still Gabi attention and Miguel having to work a bit longer hours because he insisted that you quit your job and stay home till your fully recovered from pregnancy (and whenever you were mentally ready to start working again) , it can all pile on top of each other and he can’t help but think back about how the stress had strained the relationship the first time around.
But he’s determined to do things differently this time around, he had almost lost you forever to another man and he refuses to ever let you walk away from him again. You’re more then just his baby mommy now. You were his wife.
His wife.
He could say those words over and over and he’ll never get tired of it.
And when he thinks your asleep when it’s his turn to get the baby, you can’t help but sneak a peek of him holding your baby like it’s the most important thing in the world, so small in his large hands, the way his tired eyes and smile lived down so lovingly. It made your heart jump to your throat.
“I can’t believe how lucky I am.” You’d think as you looked over at him, before shutting your eyes so he didn’t see you awake. Knowing he wanted you to get as much sleep until the next time the baby woke.
“I can’t believe how lucky I am.” He’d think as he rocked his child in his arms, looking over at the angel in his bed he was able to call his wife. Mumbling spanish lullabies till his baby was lulled to sleep.

“Okay babe, I finally got Gabi to go to sleep-“ The rest of your sentence got stuck in your throat as you finally walk into your shared bedroom. Concern overtaking your features at the sight you were greeted with, your husband holding your now sleeping baby against his chest, quietly sniffling and the barely audible sound of him patting their back. Even with only the night light being the only thing keeping the room from flooding in darkness, you could still make out his red eyes and drying tears as he rested his forehead on the crown of the baby’s head. You quickly make your way over to comfort him without a second thought.
“Amor, honey what’s wrong?” Your voice was gentle as you placed a hand on his shoulder, Miguel’s eyes make quick work to find yours, and another tear escapes before he can even open his mouth to speak. You wiped it away as quickly as it appeared.
“Dios Mio… I don’t know how I got so lucky…” he confessed in a slightly shaky tone, as if for emphasis, he held his new bundle of joy a bit closer to his chest. You couldn’t help but let your lips twitch upwards, both your hands coming up to hold his face. He turned his head slightly to plant a kiss on your palm before continuing. “It was only a few years ago that you were dating that … Henry guy. Life could be so different, you could have stayed with him, we could have never gotten back together, we wouldn’t be married, we wouldn’t have had another kid-“ (my god)
“But we did.” You remind him, a hand going up to sooth him further by running through his hair. “And that’s all that matters Mig, none of those hypotheticals are important, because they didn’t happen, and they won’t happen .” You grabbed the sleeping new born and place them in their crib, before grabbing Miguel’s hand and tugging him towards your bed. “Now stop overthinking and let’s get some sleep before they wake up.” You whispered with a giggle.
Miguel couldn’t help but smile at your attempt to get him in bed, but he complied nonetheless, pulling you into his arms once your bodies both touch the bed, placing a kiss on your temple while whispering an “I love you.” before you whispered an “I love you too.”

Sad Baby Daddy!Miggy thoughts so sorry if I went overboard here
-He didn’t even care of the fact his tears were dripping onto his phone screen when he was doomscrolling over pics of you and him when you two were younger.
-He NEEDS to make sure Gabi never saw him being sad because she’ll then be suspicious that it has something with mommy.
-Henry constantly made passive aggressive comments towards Miguel, thinking he’s a miserable loser who NEVER deserved to be Gabriella’s dad. Smth like “At least I’m not that beefy crybaby loser.” whenever he’s comforting Y/N.
-The old sundress you wore when you were preggo… his baby fever kicked again as he saw the dress but he started to overthink that you’ll leave Henry for him, Henry will be Gabriella’s new dad, you’ll have new kids with Henry, Gabi’s lil siblings won’t even know abt him and then he’ll be brushed aside to the dust like Jessie from Toy Story from how much you’ll grow to love Henry.
-In one of his overthinkings he dreamt of objecting to you and Henry’s wedding to prove that he’s deserving of your love

I feel like Baby Daddy!Miguel LOVES sniffing some of your old clothes left in his place during that time where he’s on his sad slump when he found out you’re dating Henry 🥺
He just wishes you’re there with him
I feel like he totally did this when reader and him both broke up, before you went back for all the stuff that you left at your (at the time) shared apartment. He found one of your old hoodies and it still smelt like you and he held it up to his nose and hugged it until the smell got washed out from all his tears. And you did the same with one of his hoodies you found in your car that same night you left, little baby Gabriella sleeping in your parents room since your mom knew you would need some alone time away from the baby to help you process the break up so her and your dad watched her for the night.
But for the whole Henry thing, I think he just looked at old photos and video. Him finding that dress what genuinely a surprise because he was only really bluffing when he said he had some of your old clothes lying around. He was originally going to find an old pair of sweats and a t-shirt of his that didn’t fit him anymore, but while looking for a pair of sweats, he pulled open a storage bin and the dress what just plopped right on top.

Does Gabi felt bad abt her parents living separately?
Honestly, sometimes she does, despite it not being her fault and her having no control over it. Usually she’s fine , but sometimes, every once and a blue moon, she’s have those days where she catches one of them eating dinner by themselves after she was supposed to be asleep or she’ll have a day where she really needs her mom but she’s with her dad or vice versa but feels bad telling them to call the other parent and it just kinda hits her ya know?
She’s still young so obviously there will be days where she isn’t necessarily content with her situation. But she’s mostly understanding of it. She’s very emotionally intelligent for her age.

Would it be possible to get a Miguel and reader in college prequel ? 👀 maybe not anytime soon if you’re too busy atm
honestly, I’ve been thinking about doing some! Might do a few ones pre-pregnancy, during-pregnancy and post-pregnancy. I’d have to rearrange the baby daddy blurbs on my Masterlist (i might just make it it’s own Masterlist)
