i love when i make a post abt a topic and then the tags get derailed and it becomes abt something else
#i reached tag limit 😔#anyways i was having a little moment its fine :)#i used to get into fights with spanish speaking friends#bc torta is a sandwich apparently which is false its a cake#but IM the weird one for saying that sure like calling a aandwich TORTA makes any fucjing sense#i say used to bc no one has actually made this claim to me to my face in recent years#but mark my fucking words when the topic comes up i WILL fight#do i know language is fluid and there are multiple dialects? yes and i find that fascinating#do i care in this particular instance? absolutely the fuck not#there are many spanish words where i gracefully concede that people say it differently like elote instead of choclo or aguacate (??) for pal#palta and i regularly get confused watching spanish tv its fine!#i draw the fucking line at calling a sandwich a torta and i will not budge#actually i lied someone did in fact mention this topic in front of me very recently but i loudly said please do not start bc i will get very#very loud and violent abt it and it was not mentioned but that was only bc i was trying to be polite w my friends hm boyfriend#and i will not be polite abt this#i can accept many things#torta being a sandwich is not one of those things#its just wrong#like immensely#sometimes people speak spanish to me and its like no sorry i swear im fluent i SWEAR but you are speaking a different language#and its the same fucking language#michi tag
