i lose access to the loeb library after this semester will my suffering ever end

100 Days of Productivity - Fall Semester

Day 1: August 23, 2018

( I was so busy all day that I didn’t even take a pic today 🙄)

I woke up really early today and got my life together bc I didn’t even bother prepacking my stuff last night. I had breakfast and then went off to school. Surprisingly parking wasn’t so heavy at 7:30am bc last year it was like half full by 7am lol. I went early so I could claim a science locker. I don’t want to be carrying my stuff around campus so at least I have a place to keep it at. I managed to get the same one from last year so it’s in the building between my two labs lol. I emailed my mentee about setting up a time to talk and if he needed guidance and he straight up hit me up. We were told to meet within the first two weeks in order to not overwhelm the first-years but he wants to meet tomorrow already 😱. Also I applied for an internship with really weird hours. I hope that means less applicants and a higher chance of landing an interview 😂🤞🏽(it’s paid too!)

EWS 1450: Introduction to Gender Studies

This class was at 8:30am and it was all freshman pretty much. We analyzed a video by this Latin group called Calle 13. We did usual ice-breakers and it’s taught where we all sit along the wall and the professor is in the middle. It’s very different from the science classes I’m used to lol.

BIO 4300: Concepts of Molecular Biology

This class was so intense. I know it’s a senior-level class but we have actual grad students in this class and it’s pretty intimidating. It’s also weird starting to see the same people in my classes over and over again. Like these are the people who I’m potentially going to graduate with 😂. Anyways, we pretty much reviewed 10-weeks-worth of cell and molec bio material in an hour. He professor is very chill and approachable. She does research with cannabanoids.

CHM 3150: Organic Chemistry II

I know I took the bridge this last summer (aka like 5 weeks ago) but I forgot how even a week away from ochem really does stuff to you. We did practice problems and review in class and I knew about 50% of the material. But after a few problems and explanations, a lot of stuff came up again lol. Time to review this weekend so I don’t ALREADY fall behind 😭

(Also this online class I’m taking sounds very tedious already. We have like 5 deadlines every two weeks and they’re all like random days so I’m nervous I won’t have time to do things on certain days. But honestly t just means being good with my time 🤞🏽)
