this is the next biggest city about half an hour from me and where I do my shopping and bruh, the state of illinois is gonna slap down a major lawsuit on these fucking clowns lmao bc illinois enshrined the right to abortion in their constitution in 2019 I believe. also, it wasn’t even the aldermen who wanted this!! it was a group from Texas. keep that shit down there u cunts

#it’s rlly interesting that the city is suddenly leaning so far right #bc half of the residents are either queer or allies #and the other half is rabid trump supporters #so now they’re starting to clash and it’s just bizarre #bc my city is the same way only we have a lot lord queer ppl and are a destination for gay families #bc most of the couples I see with kids here are queer #and a LOT of openly trans people too #and historically we’re extremely conservative #but in the last major election we were almost evenly split on dems and repubs voting #and a lot of these new residents are queer as well so we’re getting more queer #and Quincy is becoming trump land even tho they have several lgbtq+ organizations that are based there #and we have none #idk it’s just super fascinating
