    ‘𝐓𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭, 𝐢𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐝𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞.  From  the  lips  of  another  lover  to  their  companion  might  it  be  an  expected  if  trite  gesture.  Estinien  wouldn’t  know,  as  he’s  never  had  a  surfeit  of  lovers  in  his  life,  much  less  ones  with  such  a  keen  obsession  with  his  hair.  All  that  he  has  to  hold  in  comparison  are  the  love  songs  and  the  sights  of  young  couples  in  the  streets,  and  he  knows  enough  that  both  are  a  poor  source  of  knowledge.

        He  knows  not  which  of  the  two  has  Zenos  been  using  as  a  reference,  for  the  prince  has  a  habit  of  imitating  without  thought.  Yet  he  suspects  that  this  particular  desire  is  born  of  Zenos’  own  machinations  than  aught  else.  He’s  not  been  subtle  about  it  either  –  fingers  that  seem  to  find  their  way  to  his  hair  in  their  moments  of  intimacy,  the  pleased  hum  that  rolls  as  a  muted  thunderhead  through  his  broad  chest  when  he  catches  sight  of  his  elezen  lover  freshly  bathed  and  hair  combed  to  a  sheen.  

     Thus  when  Zenos  approaches  him  one  day  with  brush  in  hand  does  he  no  longer  question  in  him.  There  within  those  blue,  blue  eyes,  does  he  find  the  glimmer  of  what  he  might  call  hope.  So  faint,  as  though  a  flame  that’f  been  doused  one  too  many  time,  still  finding  the  light  to  burn.  What  is  he  to  do  then,  but  to  relent  with  a  huff  of  amusement,  settling  ‘pon  the  rug  as  Zenos  takes  his  place  behind  him.  

        There’s  no  reason  for  Zenos  to  be  this  gentle  when  he  takes  his  hair  in  his  hands,  large  fingers  sweeping  through  silver  white  locks  first  and  tugging  nigh  immediately  ‘pon  knots  and  tangles.  There’s  a  displeased  grunt  that  follows  when  the  knots  refuse  to  relent.  He  expects  a  rougher,  more  swift  hand,  the  sharp  sting  of  a  brush  that  tugs  at  his  scalp  to  leave  him  hissing,  but  the  large  fingers  are  delicate  as  they  pick  through  the  tangles,  as  though  working  through  the  delicate  weave  of  the  finest  hannish  silk.  

    He  closes  his  eyes,  lulled  by  the  warmth  and  the  care.  There’s  no  resistance  from  him  when  his  locks  are  tugged  this  way  and  that,  always,  always  is  there  that  care.  He  might  call  it  reverence,  yet  the  absurdity  of  the  thought  prevents  him  reaching  such  a  conclusion.  They  sit  there,  together,  for  what  feels  like  hours,  brush  and  hands  used  interchangeably,  thumbs  coming  to  knead  at  the  muscles  of  his  neck  more  than  once  when  his  own  impatience  rises  even  by  a  hair’s  breadth.  Someone,  Zenos  always  knows.  At  last  the  brush  is  set  aside,  there’s  the  heat  of  Zenos’  mouth  ‘pon  his  skin  and  he  realizes  when  he  finally  opens  his  eyes  has  he  been  rumbling,  content  and  relaxed,  far  too  relaxed.  

        ❝ Done? ❞  he  rasps,  voice  feeling  far  too  raw  for  having  done  naught  but  sit  still.  A  hand  combs  through  his  hair  in  answer,  easily  running  through  his  locks  as  if  through  a  fall  of  water.  The  mouth  never  relents,  working  up  his  neck  to  his  jaw  and  he  allows  himself  to  be  pulled  into  the  lap  of  his  prince.  Well,  he  supposes  patience  is  its  own  reward,  but  for  such  hard  effort  might  he  provide  Zenos  with  one  in  return.  

Kicks the door down. I'm a little late to the party, but I genuinely adore you and your portrayal of Haurchefant. You write him exceptionally well and there was never a time where I felt that you did not nail his voice — quite the contrary, in fact. Your passion for him is so obvious and reflects in your writing and your headcanons for him and we love to see it. On top of that, you are such an absolute sweetheart ooc and always a joy to talk to. Always been fun hanging out or chatting with you or doing some other shenanigans. Genuinely, a wonderful writer and person!!

        where  the  burning  ache  for  his  demise  used  to  burn,  fueled  in  past  of  both  his  own  actions  and  the  ever  humiliating  defeat  in  the  memory  and  time  of  ala  mhigo  —  they  cannot  name  what  has  taken  its  place.    they  do  not  wish  him  into  death,  but  they  do  not  yet  vie  for  his  passions.    there  will  perhaps  ever  be  contempt  within  them,  deep  in  the  sinew  and  just  as  permanent  as  the  scars  across  their  body  but  nothing  that  they  cannot  work  towards  getting  over.    just  as  they  have  gotten  over  the  veil  that  shadowed  what  truly  drove  their  stark  distaste  and  adamance  against  the  prince  in  the  first  place.    aptly  put  —  it  does  not  have  to  end    (  it  does  not  have  to  end  in  death  ).         “  should  it  become  one  however,  then  know  that  you  have  made  it  so.  ”

Ariiiiies. I love your portrayal of Meteor so much! You have taken the overarching concept of the " derplander " and really made it your own by giving it depth and personality, to the point that whenever I see Meteor in official media, your characterization of him immediately comes to mind. You've been such a joy to have on my dash, both in terms of ic and ooc content, and I couldn't imagine this RPC without you in it!!
