I couldn’t help but notice the sweet bali offering set on top of my hanging plant in the yard. I’ve recently moved and had a few potted plants to add to my new yard.

Usually, the offerings are in their usual spots around the yard, so I knew this was a ceremony for plants. It’s called Tumpek Uduh Ceremony 💚

Devoted to Sanghyang Sangkara, Lord of all food - plants when blessing ceremony is given to them for good crops and products, held at every plantation and farm throughout the island.


These offerings are placed to bestow and keep the plants and trees alive and  fertile, avoiding them from pests or anything that can damage them. Thus, it will produce abundantly benefit for the human life. On this day, the Balinese wish that mother earth will bless the plants and trees for prosperity 🌱

Road to the waterfall. ⁣ Remember earlier, I posted a photo of a waterfall in a cave? Tari Rejang Renteng, merupakan hasil rekonstruksi dari DikBud Prov. Bali th 1999 oleh Ni Wayan Sulastriani, SST.,M.Si bersama I Nyoman Budi Artha, S.Sn. M.Si & disosialisasikan kembali oleh Ida Ayu Made Diastini, SST., M.Si diseluruh Bali melalui TVRI, Bali TV & media lainnya. Tari ini berasal dari Nusa Penida, Br. Saren. Rejang Renteng berasal dari kata rente yg berarti tua. Rejang Renteng di tarikan oleh wanita yg sudah menikah (tua). Tua disini mempunyai arti luas yaitu dilihat dari gerakannya yg halus, keharmonisan antara musik & geraknya, kostum yg dipakai pun sederhana seperti umumnya wanita Bali yg akan melakukan persembahyangan dengan kebaya putih serta kamen berwarna kuning lengkap dengan selendang senada. Musiknya sederhana, tidak banyak kotekan (polos), halus, ritmis dan dinamis. Konon tarian Rejang Renteng ini wajib di tarikan dengan jumlah peserta ganjil tidak boleh genap.
