How did you get into Glee and Glee fandom?
I remember seeing commercials for it on tv when season 1 was about to come out in the Netherlands. It really looked like something I would love as I already loved musicals like HSM and Hairspray and all that stuff. Though the first episode I actually remember watching was Mattress. (Will finding out his wife was fake pregnant was a very intense and memorable scene for a 12yo!) I absolutely LOVED the show and watched it religiously. When I found out the US was about a season ahead I started watching online. When I was caught up, I started setting my alarm an hour early the day after the episode aired in the US so I could watch it before school started. It was a ride. A friend introduced me to tumblr and I made my glee/klaine blog in February 2012 and I am still here.
In general, what drew you into writing (and/or creating)?
I am more of an artist rather than an author. I've been drawing and making fanart for as long as I can remember. Even before I really knew fanart was a thing I was already making it. because I love my favourite characters and I love drawing them <3 Writing fic took a little longer because english is not my first language and I'm dyslexic. I always loved stories and I always just wanted more!! I started reading fic in 2011 and it looked like something I would be into. I still have a little notebook from when I was 13/14 ish which has a very long story about Sebastian kissing Blaine at a warblers party and Kurt freaking out about it in the worst possible English imaginable..... that story will never see the light of day oml..
I hadn't actually published a story until this year. Glad to be here now though!! Never too late <333
What was it about Glee that made you decide to write fanfic for it?
Kurt and Blaine. God their love is just so beautiful and inspiring. I could fantasize about them for days. It was about time to get the daydreams on paper! (or laptop screen in my case)
Have you been a part of other fandoms before? Have you written fanfiction pre-glee?
I have been in a lot of other fandoms, but none of which I felt as strongly about as glee. When I was younger I was obsessed with the original dutch version of "House of Anubis". I'm still high-key invested in the Avatar: the Last Airbender fandom. also also Shadowhunters and Harry Potter hold big places in my heart. I have however never written about these fandoms because, when it comes to it, nothing brings me as much joy as glee/klaine!
Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to?
Oh so, so many!! But the two ideas that I've been playing with a lot recently (in my head I might add) are a Hogwarts AU and a mid-evil soulmate AU!
Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole?
There are some wild kinks I tend to stay far away from. But the two things I really cannot ever deal with are rape/noncon and abuse.
How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
How many???? oof I have 28 saved in my notes app. Most are just one shots/ideas, but still. I really want to make a one-shot series of all the klaine kisses that should have been but never were.
But I'll give you a tease for the medieval soulmate AU I'm working on:
People are born with the name of their soulmate on their backs. But everyone who has the name of someone from the same gender has to get their mark magically removed/burned off when they are born. Kurt and Blaine are princes from different kingdoms, who never knew the true names of their soulmates because all there was to see on their backs was a small burn scar. When they meet however, they inevitably fall in love and seek a way to find out what their mark originally says.

Share one of your strengths.
Probably writing conversation? chatting back and forth. I like to think I've got my boys figured out quite well and know the things they would/wouldn't say.
Share one of your weaknesses.
I struggle a lot with giving my fics some body. Giving the story time to develop. It's not that I don't want to write longer fics, but I just find it really hard! I usually have great ideas for really small scenes that I could see working in bigger fics. But the longer the fic, the more daunting it is to me. That is why I mostly stick to one-shots and drabbles. I wanna write the bigger stuff as well though!! so much!
Which fic has been the hardest to write?
you should probably know that I am still very much a baby in the fic writing community as I have only three short fics on Ao3 and two other drabbles on my tumblr. But the hardest one was "Not My Type". I wrote it for spaceorphan for the fic exchange. I had never thought about writing a fake dating story as this is not a trope I usually read. so I had some trouble figuring out how to make that work. I did have a lot of fun writing it though!
Which fic has been the easiest to write?
"You're insane, you know that?" It's just a very soft short one-shot but I had it all written out in my head for a long time before I actually wrote it down. soft one-shots are my favourite things to write (and sometimes also read). so they come quite naturally to me. (it is also very short so that helps ;)
Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby?
More just a fun hobby. I really love it but it is still very difficult for me. drawing is more my passion I'd say. it comes more naturally to me.
Is there an episode or character or arc above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
Kurt Hummel!! I honestly can't see myself writing fic that doesn't include at least someone talking about him. There are also a lot of episodes that have inspired me and still wanna write stories for. especially in season 3 and 5, like bash, tested, prom a saurus, asian F and many more!
What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across?
Get a beta! And I stand by that. Don't feel above or scared about having someone reviewing your story. They will see things you haven't even thought of!
What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across?
I guess "Write what you know"? There is nothing wrong with writing what you know, but please don't let it restrict you! It's actually so educational to write about things you are unfamiliar with! if a certain theme is interesting to you, do your research! ask others for advice! broaden your horizons!
If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose?
I've only published a few short ones but I would choose not my type, as i is the longest and includes vogue!Kurt (aka my favourite Kurt) ;)
What’s your process? Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order? Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines? What are the perfect writing conditions for you?
I write best when I know I actually have the time to write and don't have other things on my mind. (which is why I haven't written as much as I would've liked.) I usually write pretty chronologically. Though I do add, switch around and rewrite scenes a lot! My stories all start off in my notes app on my phone, this way it doesn't seem so daunting. But if I see enough progress and if I'm actually confident about the story I copy it to a google docs where I have more tools and things are a bit clearer.

Not My Type - Kurt was always assumed to have a type. Tall, blond and stupid. But Kurt wasn’t that superficial. No sir. So what if the only guys he ever dated were tall blond idiots? That doesn’t mean he has a type. To prove it, he picks someone who couldn’t be further away from the regular guys he dated. But who would fit that picture?
The way you dress - Blaine is completely stunned about how Kurt always manages to look so perfect.

How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting?
So fucking often oh god. I am terrified of publishing any undetected mistakes. I mostly revise while writing. I read and reread my stories a lot! I often revise a fic again when it's already uploaded.. and change some little things while it's already spread it's wings on Ao3 XD
If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why?
"The way you dress". I still love the idea of the story but it is very short and I think I could get more out of it if I wrote it again.
What do you look for in a beta?
There are a few things I look for in a beta.
As english is not my first language I usually need some practical fixes, like with spelling, grammar, vocabulary and staying in the correct tense throughout the story.
I also love to have someone to discuss ideas with. I'd like them to be a part of the writing process as I know I work better if I can share ideas with someone!
I really appreciate it if a bata is critical of the story itself. To really look for weak spots that can get better. I won't get offended if a beta says it might be better to change some things. I want my story to be the best as possible so I trust my beta! As long as they are kind and motivating <33
If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?
This one is pretty hard for me because I tend to mostly read one shots. I have slight commitment issues. All the longer ones I read all had pretty good closure. I would also probably feel to scared to touch someone else's work...
Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant?
I usually like to stick close to canon because I'm one of the weirdos who actually likes glee and most of it's arcs... Though I started liking AUs a lot more recently! So who knows! Some fantastical stories might be coming your way ;)
Talk about a review that made your day.
I once got a review from someone who re-read the story because they enjoyed it so much. I couldn't believe anyone could like something I wrote that much :')
Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them?
I luckily haven't received any yet, but that probably because I haven't published that many stories.. also, people in this fandom tend to be sweethearts!
What advice do you have for people just starting to write?
Don't worry about not being good enough. If you like your story and you are passionate about it, it will shine through and others will like it as well. Share your enthusiasm. It works infectious! ♡
Which fic do you most like to discuss with other people? Why?
"Being Kurt Hummel" by flaming_muse. To me this fic describes his character PERFECTLY! All my hcs about him come forward in this fic. She absolutely nailed his personality and people shOULD KNOW!
What's one aspect of writing fic that gets you really excited?
One thing I love about it is that I can improve my english/writing skills in a fun way! when I write fic I feel like I'm actually not wasting my time on fandom but actually learning something. ^^

What other Glee Fandom authors do you enjoy? Can you recommend some of your favorite fics?
oh there are so many authors I admire and enjoy!
my favourite author is probably flaming_muse! she writes the BEST reaction fics. I can go on and on about this for days, but reading her fics is like reading the books after only having seen the film. They explain all Kurt and Blaine's actions so well and they give so much more depth to the story glee has ever given us. I highly recommend reading them maybe during a rewatch. :)
my all time favourite fic is probably "Glowing in the Dark" by xxxraquelita on FF.net a blind!Blaine au that is SO well written, It is funny and sweet and emotional and just beautiful! It was one of the first multi-chapters I ever read and it's the reason I started loving fic so much. I do believe it's their only klaine story though.
some other honorable mentions are espreantoauthor (her fic express yourself blew my mind), blurglesmurfklaine who I have the privilege of making art for! Wonderful person who writes wonderful stories! beautifulunseen (who I also got to make art for! I feel blessed!), syntheticpoetry, spaceorphan and darriness are also really fucking great as well! And god I appreciate every writing soul in this fandom because you guys are all so amazing omg! <3333
