parties. weiss has grown to detest them. especially after what happened with the fundraiser for vale. but, that was honestly just the frosting on the cake if you were to ask her. she is not surprised that her father threw one just to brag that he got a seat on the council. of course, he would. he is so selfish and arrogant, that alone pisses her off. but when her eyes land on familiar blue hair, she could not stop herself from stomping over. causing a few looks from near by attendees.

she managed to stop herself from going any further with the anger that hides deep within herself. no longer the heiress of the company and not wanting anything to do with her father, she has to be honest that she was raised better than to lash out at some... some... nobody ! at an event that takes place at the schnee manor. that was a one ─ time thing and she will make sure it will stay that way !

        winter need not turn to know the source of the voice that oh-so-very humorously shares commentary that she, resident ice-queen of atlas, well known for her frigidity and cold demeanour has certainly never heard before. though it smacks of a familiarity she has years since felt, she still considers it a shame that stuck here at an atlas military sponsored formal event, the option simply to vacate and ignore the voice entirely eludes. she turns on heel, arms coiled behind her back and a disingenuous smile making a mockery of her demeanour. 

        “henry. glad to see you are well, and that your grasp of wit remains as sharp as ever.” winter’s tone is simpering, but it’s absent the threat that usually permeates the clap-backs she spares for the ignorant and uninformed. she is more amused than she should be, and it shows in the raise of her brow and the lean closer, considerate of the ears around him. her hand rises, and she flicks the flop of hair that threatens to half-blind him.

all too natural to come when beckoned, to hold out both hands with a small anticipatory wiggle of his fingers the instantit becomes clear that he’s being given something.  his grasp steadies the caught envelope, but once he has it, turning it over as if to suss out its contents by weight alone, the rest of henry’s words register.  what mayor?  no longer an issue?  

‘ wait, wait,you sound so ominous!  mayor who? ’  a measure of caution hits.  followed by, ridiculously, sharply risen felicity which makes him grin.  perhaps one  shouldn’t  be entertained by a scenario that is faintly reminiscent of illicit deal-making, but love still doesn’t know the marigold very well, and the possibility of eccentricity absolutely delights him.  he hasno idea what henry is talking about!  it’s only the good fortune of being well-raised that awakens trenchant propriety that he so often ignores, making him remember thingslike decorum  &  thoughtfulness.  love, with great strength of resistance, does not simply tear open the envelope to discover its contents.  his smile softens, he looks curious.  ‘ either my memory fails me, or you’re telling a joke.  what is this really? ’

i’ve actually done that before. i was commissioned to make an absolutely horrible promo for someone and got paid in full with a tip and it was the worst most visually assaulting thing i’ve ever done ( tw drugs and eyestrain )
