#feels odd sharing a photo of my most special interest to have ever of interested specially: but this is the lovely#and wonderful wetland from the deeper end! this was autumn 2021 so prior to the hurricane which has...#changed things a bit!#a lot of those trees are gone and now *in* the wetland as so often tends to happen#! the further end gets more reedy and that's where the frogs salamanders and many birds live#while the middle portion is where the ducks chill (deepest point- a few feet)#and this is our end which is typically lost frogs the deer some martens etc#in summer it gets very very mosquito-y and i'm allergic to them so i typically have winter/spring/autumn documented#most extensively#it's usually highest around autumn and sometimes spring rains! it actually can extend by absolute yards when we get particularly rainy#months!!#:))#ask me anything about the swamp and youll get essay length answers: guaranteed#missing from here is my tree- a large ash that is dying slightly after the hurricane took most of her branches-#but thats situated just behind the wetland and its where i go sit to watch the swamp from above#it is THE happy place
