well. bad omens is officially the longest thing i’ve ever written. and it’s still not fucking done.
#do you ever just. vastly underestimate how long something will be? yehy#*yeh.#i remember thinking ‘oh six chapters. so it’ll be like 12-18k.’ and still thought that was way too long.#well it’s over 30k now. and i’m still one scene away from finishing the first draft of chapter 4#there’s at least 5k more to be written for chapters 5&6. although probably more cause each chapter’s longer than the rest so far.#and that’s without considering the epilogue#and the fact that i’m apparently actually going first draft -> final draft#as opposed to just. writing editing and poof i guess.#i was going to post the first chapter cause it was done. until i realized there was something i needed to change.#and because i still don’t have everything that happens later on figured out i can’t post cause this is going to happen over and over again#this was mean to be crack damn it#like i absolutely adore this story and writing it but like. i would also like it to be done pls.
