Works in solitude: Vasili/Bell has always prefered to work alone, but it doesn't mean he doesn't mind going on missions with the team. But, as his habit of being a special agent, that trait normally came from him back in his days when he worked with the KGB.

Observant and intelligent: Vasili was able to survive any sort of situation because of his good observant skills, and his capacity to act quicker. He was able to learn a lot of languages as well, and posed himself in different identities, that made it harder for the intelligence agencies to track him down.

Is reserved and introverted: Bell really doesn't speak to anyone much, unless when it comes to planning or going for missions, he needs to form a sort of communication to keep it lively. He is seen being more comfortable with Mason and Woods, but never felt having a good vibe with Adler. It was odd on his part, but it was going to grow very obvious when the truth would have come closer to any minute.

BACKGROUND STORY

Bell, who first used to live under the identity of Vasili Sokolov, was born in a family who had an army background, where his mother and father, both served during the Second World War, and hearing their stories, it gave Vasili a motivation to support his parents legacy by joining the intelligence — which was the KGB, going under the codename "Crow".

THE KGB ARC [REDACTED]

When Vasili joined the organisation, he showed a remarkable performance as a special agent. Some say he was born to join the intelligence and make the country proud, or he was a gifted child who could learn anything quickly and successfully perform a mission by stealing info or destroying any plans that could harm his country, without any failure. He even pointed out possible mistakes while planning out a mission, and in the end they worked out efficiently.

Sooner or later, Vasili's influence spread all around the world, especially during the Cold War, the enemies of the Soviet Union had a kill/capture on him. "Kill" because Vasili knew too much about them, and "Capture" because, they wanted him to tell everything he has with him, which likely created a risk for the KGB and they couldn't do so. With that, General Anton Charkov gave him the order to "retire" and stay hidden to protect himself along with the organisation. Disappointed, Vasili protested that it was the only thing that "kept him going", but having no choice, the agent decided to leave the KGB, under the General's orders.

PERSEUS ARC [REDACTED]

It was a matter of time, when one was going to collect him instead, realising he was now no longer affiliated with the KGB. Vasili was met with someone who called himself "Perseus", and requested him to join his alliance, since he knew about Vasili from his influence, and promised to give him full security, knowing he was hunted worldwide too. Seeing that as an opportunity, Vasili agreed to join in good terms, directly becoming Perseus's loyal agent.

As he continued his journey in the faction, he had shown his skills again which made Perseus as his most trusted agent, unlike the rest. But, at times Vasili has shown inner conflict towards his ideas. During the moment when he was explained about "Operation Greenlight" with the members, it left a strange feeling within his heart. He tried to protest, but he somehow couldn't refute his superior's words, and decided to acknowledge instead. Vasili had kept showing a remarkable performance, much to Arash Kadivar, one of the faction members, being envious of his relationship with Perseus.

Kadivar lures him to Trabzon Airport, where he takes Vasili, and explains that he didn't want any more "competition", resulting in him shooting the special agent in the car he was present in, leaving him to die and bleed alone. But, sooner or later, an attack situated on the airfield, unbeknownst to the dying Vasili who was growing unconscious every passing minute. Growing lost in his own thoughts, about Perseus that promised him to give him protection from the outer forces, but didn't recognise that his "own" people were against him too, as he questioned his existence at the same time.

SAFEHOUSE ARC

The voices echoed, and the man started to lose his breath.. until he woke up, and found himself in a strange place, where he couldn't remember anything of what happened. This is where, he encounters Russell Adler, a CIA agent who he curiously looks upon, having no idea. Unable to introduce himself, Adler briefed him about his name, being it under the codename "Bell". And this is where, all the very events of the canon game begin from here.

☼ Despite Ozy's pride, he is PRACTICAL. If he feels he cannot do something alone, he has no issues relying on another if necessary. He puts stubbornness aside and focuses, instead, on what needs to be done. If he must work with someone who was a former enemy, then so be it. The only thing is that sometimes he has to be convinced to do so, and it must be because there is absolutely no other course of action left to him but this. Nitocris is an outlier because she is a fellow pharaoh and he respects her a great deal for her sacrifice to the throne.

☼ Although he loves the beauty of the sea, he is not fond of the thought of actually riding a ship on it. The vastness of the ocean is intimidating, even more so when you are far away from shore and all that can be seen for miles upon miles is water. Sailing fascinates him, but he knows for a fact that after the intrigue wears off, the unease will set in and he will hate it.

THREE THINGS YOUR CHARACTER LIKES DOING IN THEIR FREE TIME:

☼ Napping. Ozymandias just really loves to take naps. He sits around on his throne a lot, and during that process, he tends to get sluggish and tired. It’s easy enough for him to perk up when he’s aware that someone is visiting him, however. Being able to just lie back and rest is not something he had really experienced in life because he was constantly kept busy by something or another or had to keep up certain appearances, so he takes advantage of that when he’s summoned. In a sense, he might as well be a cat at that point.

☼ Playing video games. Although video games confuse him, he actually really likes them. It’s so ‘quaint’, and yet, it holds his attention for hours. Ozymandias doesn’t quite understand why this is, but he’s not complaining. Let him play something like Tekken Tag Tournament or Skyrim and wham, the day has gone by.

☼ Reading. There are a vast amount of books out there with a vast amount of stories to tell, and as one who was more or less used to being told things orally, it all fascinates him. He is a big fan of 'the hero's journey' kind of stories. He also likes things with complexity beneath what appears simple on the surface. Political intrigues are always fun for him as well.

☼ He doesn't really have any phobias. Past fears, maybe. Swarming insects do make him somewhat uneasy. This, though, is not enough to freeze him in his tracts or make him feel the gnawing of panic. It's just unpleasant.

I’m new to fgo and Fate in general but can someone explain to me the significance to servants that are below 4 stars?

Like other than personality and enjoying the character. Is there any other reason to have them and grow their levels and strengths in game play?

Like why use resources to max out my three star kid Gilgamesh when I can max out my not kid Gilgamesh?

Since you're a new player I'll give a non-meme answer:

Sometimes you will not have the perfect counter that is a gold. Unless you're able to whale, there are some classes you won't have a gold servant for. A lot of the early game 3 stars in particular like David, Robin, Babbage, Medea, Euryale, etcetc are very useful for carrying you in the beginning.

Cost limitations mean that you will sometimes have to choose between better CEs or SR/SSR servants. Mash helps for majority of the game, but at one point you reach her bond level max and might want to swap someone else out instead, so having more bronzes or silvers in your party will let you have the space for better CEs.

Grail fronts - grail fronts can be fun and done with solos, but as they increase in difficulty, having a couple of bronzes that you've leveled up fill up the rest of the slots help clear the levels

Overall bronzes/silvers require much lower requirements when it comes to ascension items and QP

Some of the best support servants are bronzes - Mozart, Chen Gong, Andersen and Shakespeare are still very useful even with the likes of Castoria and Merlin. Not to mention Paracelsus is still a very useful support

Any tower event will be much easier to do if you have more servants leveled up. Also LB7 will be a lot easier to do if you have more servants leveled up.

The fact is that FGO is one of the few gachas where the 1-3 stars are very capable and useful. Of course, it is up to you whether or not you want to invest your time into them - however with their costs, this is a lot easier to do so than with five stars.

Unfortunately we haven't been getting the amount of bronzes (or silvers, for that matter) as much in recent years, but it should say something about how when Chen Gong was released, the meta was changed immediately because of him.

7. Arash is still one of the best servants in the game for clears, period.

Okay fgo game which servants have your favorite voice acting

Mephisto is definitely one of them for me. There’s one voice line of him dying that makes me laugh everytime but the VA work is fantastic in general

Calígula as well. His screams are so great but I would say that that guy does well in every role he takes be it with him Saber Gilles or Arash I’m so impressed

Old Moriarty. His first np line when you still don’t know his name is one of my favorites in the entire game. Chefs kiss. But also his voice in general is just chefs kiss

Oh yeah of course Nakata Jouji is always perfect. How could someone make one of those and not mention him

Oh yeah I love Salieris voice. He’s definitely up there

Blackbeards voice is really good. Maybe it is a bit too goofy for him but it’s not unfitting the character. On the other way around it is pretty nice for the type of chara Blackbeard is

Xu Fu is actually pretty funny too. Really captures the goofiness of the character

Tomoe is in the middle-ish area. She's the chosen one BUT IFSKJDFSF I LAUGH BECAUSE LIKE Athanasius just does not care / does not want that pain and Nagayoshi is just, "I tend to just think about other things - like fighting and my hobbies," so he normally is, quite literally, not interested. Hard to care if your mind just isn't on romance and all that entails. So it probably (I say probably because he's so.... -gestures-) takes a lot of work in general with him to get the kind of 'clicking' going on. Arash isn't too bad but requires a bit of work and Rengoku is just oblivious 99% of the time, but will bluntly confess / agree if he also feels the same way. Damian isn't too bad either since he does hunger for connection, but also, has tendencies of avoidance because he's anxious about relationships outside of the rare one-night kind of deals since he's never seeing that person again anyway. Masamune is right up there with Nagayoshi. You have to really impress him / intrigue him -- like really intrigue him -- for him to even acknowledge you in that way. Him and Ozy are similar with that, but Masamune is far more difficult in comparison.

hello hun!! hehe thank you :D funny story, i went through my tag looking for old posts for reference and was surprised bc i swore i wrote a lot more servant guda than i had ... turns out, they were in the drafts. i have set one such free here from the vault with calvary classes + avenger guda in a holy grail war :D

but i wanted to do more!! i did this one close to the style of my ruler guda headacanons! here’s ur assorted caster guda hcs [soon to be x-posted to my ao3]

general

as stated previously, caster guda is the incarnation most hostile towards the haughty mage types. if they were summoned by say, a darnic prestone or a shinji matou type, caster will actively make it hard for them.

they're more snarky than outright insubordinate like berserker guda.

"you never told me to 'go after' saber, only to 'look' for her."

and make no mistake, they can summon a sword before the word faker leaves your lips.

caster guda is like a unicorn who appears only to the pure of heart lol

with the right master, they will fight and fight and fight for their master’s happiness.

caster guda is one of those casters that are bad at being a caster.

(they are trying their best though)

being an unconventional caster, they don’t need a large workshop nor do they really know what to do with it.

"medea said something about… gah, what was it? … screw it! this will do!"

fighting style + abilities

at chaldea, guda was surrounded by mystics and mages from all points of time. their bonds are everything, they seep into the foundation of caster’s craft.

a jack of all trades, they use a self-styled patchwork magecraft. ancient egyptian protection spells, runes, japanese curse arts...

they are majorly influenced by archer emiya because they were taught primarily by him.

as a caster class, their abilities are greatly enhanced. their projection skill is rank B as well as possessing the item construction B+ skill.

caster's proficiency in projection is leagues ahead compared to rider class guda (w/ item construction [projection] D skill) - rider guda can project handguns albeit they fall apart after one shot… but that’s a story for another day

when it comes to the usage of projection magecraft, they use weapons of the servants they had contracts with.

frequently used are arash’s bow, bedivere’s sword, and jaguar’s jaguar paw club. in the right circumstance this strategy can mask their class identity.

caster guda’s noble phantasm is sealed, it is ars exitio daemoniorum or, the art of destroying demons.

if that name sounds familiar, well… guda took a lot more from “him” than his life, more than they could have known, but that is a story for another day.

Chapter One: Valerius POV

Valerius let his gaze fall, the minutes ticking away in his mind as he let Nerva lead them further inward. She knew the way home. Although, he doubted they would make it farther than the outer markets they now walked sedately through.

This early only the most ambitious of merchants were already awake. A few stalls selling hot soybean milk or Riyukezu-style tea were raising their awnings and the vapors of their wares wafted over the street. The familiar aroma of sweet milk, roasted green tea, boiled corn, and tea-stewed eggs made Valerius’ stomach rumble. He had eaten sparsely, forcing down dry biscuits and drier jerky each day. It was enough not to starve, but not enough to truly satisfy. While most stalls catered to the tastes of the overwhelming Riyukezan majority, more than a handful were selling fare that was more readily found outside Riyushu. At one stall, the scent of spicy meat and corn masa reminded him so much of the meals he’d eaten the past few weeks—of Marya’s teary-eyed laughter and the frost on his lips from Arash’s tapping claw—that Valerius reined Nerva to a stop without conscious thought.

The vendor at the stall looked up from a large clay pot, steam pouring from the lifted lid like a newly erupted volcano. The man smiled and bowed the Riyukezan way, but greeted him in Mekshan, over-friendly and welcoming. Off-putting. But Valerius was already swinging down, his eyes on the neat rectangles wrapped in yellow corn husks and pressed close together, their tops open and the scent free. A sign proclaiming fresh tamales was painted directly onto the easily collapsible, moveable, clapboard stall.

“I’ve got meat and meatless, whatever you like, señor. And hot coffee, too,” the man said, waving towards a small kettle on an open-flame hob and a large sack full of glistening beans.

Valerius didn’t like heavy breakfasts. Coffee made his hands jitter. But he stared at the offerings, jaw tense and body unmoving. Silently, he reached for his pouch and took out the required tin coins and let them fall, one by one, into the man’s open palm. Dark eyes darted over Valerius’ face, and the Lance wondered what emotion he was seeing on the vendor’s face: confusion, amusement, or perhaps pity? The twist of the man’s lips and the rising of his eyebrows were baffling. The moment the man turned away and Valerius barely held back a sigh of relief.

“How about you get one of each, señor, and a cup of coffee? You’ve given me enough here for it. I’ll fix it up nice.”

“I.” Valerius stopped, lips pressing into a line as the man turned back. Dark skin, darker eyes, and a fringe of hair above the man’s upper lip that had curled up into a smile that seemed warm. Friendly with his voice. “I don’t drink coffee.”

“You got that Riyukezan look,” the man said, nodding slightly. “Why don’t you try it one more time? I’ve got a trick to it. I got Riyukezu coming back every day for a cup, you’ll see, señor.”

Just like Marya, never taking “no” for answer. Valerius’ lips twitched in an answering smile. After a tiny jerk of his chin down into a nod, the vendor picked up a can to pour in a generous amount of viscous white liquid that was too thick to be milk, then poured a ladle full of steaming black coffee into a mug. A powder too red and soft to be brown sugar followed. Valerius took the mug in a hand that completely dwarfed the small clay cup. It was sweeter than any coffee he’d ever tasted with a hint of spice that he finally recognized as cinnamon. Whatever face he seemed to be making had the vendor chuckling.

“Like I said, they come back every day,” he joked. “It’s sweet milk condensad.”

A ship I have with said character: i am incapable of shipping Ozymandias with anyone other than his beloved wife. Do you have any idea how much he loved Nefertari? The man wrote poems about her to people. He was ready to kill his master that one time when he was summoned by her necklace, meaning her tomb had been broken into and robbed. A BROTP I have with said character: Gilgamesh. 100%. I love how high and mighty and regal and silly they are about their kingship and glory and their connection with the sun and the gods. They're a couple of huge dorks and I love them together. I'd watch an entire spin off about them

A NOTP I have with said character: I'm not sure I have a NOTP for Ozy. None really come to mind

A random headcanon: He takes at least three hours to get ready for the day. At LEAST. Washing, pruning, anointing himself, dressing, accessorizing, etc. He spends excessive amounts of time on the whole ordeal

General Opinion over said character: [looks at the Ozymandias nesoberi next to me] I am a casual Ozymandias enjoyer for certain. [looks at the seated figurine on my bookshelf] I think he's really interesting and a compelling character, in particular I'm a huge fan of how he's written in the Round Table Singularity as both a powerful, ruthless king, but a generous one when it counts, and also how human he is in quiet moments. [looks at Ozy rubber keychain]......I wish we got more of him in FGO, he's REALLY neat and he has so much potential [looks at Ozy print]...uhm,, also he's sexy. I love Ozymandias

ALRIGHTY- For those that are mutuals + wanna join in a lil bit of dash chaos as well as plan to participate on the grandservantgala this post is to let me know u would like to take part in it with my muses! note that by having our muses attenting this lil event it doesn’t directly mean the nature of it has to be romantic, it can be entirely platonic! and also do not feel obligated to be active during it nor reply to things on time either ! on -my- end (and how -im- participating on it), it’ll be just to mess around and have some light hearted fun!

there’s 3 options !;

option 1. All of the servants -on the main list- will be put on a random generator. / (example: Karna, Arjuna, Gil (archer and/or caster), Arash, Arthur, Saito, Dantes, Nitocris will be on the rooster. if ur interested u can say that u would also like for the random generator to include the second row)

option 2. option 3. You can just mention one servant straight away / (example: let’s say you want Nitocris and just her, it can be that as well! u could just pick her right there)

to pick any of these options, just send me an ask mentioning which option you want! if its the 1st option, theres no need for you to specify anything bc the random generator will include all my servant muses; if its the 2nd option, list the servants u would be interested in getting; and finally, if its the 3rd option, just mention the one servant u would be interested in picking.
