the hard thing abt writing a high school, i am beginning to see, is i don't rmbr Shit from when i was in hs despite being only 20. so now im writing a lunch scene at the school and im like Fuckkkk i cannot rmbr for the LIFE of me. what drinks we were offered at lunch. obviously not milk. right. that's middle school only. i think. and we did have a free water dispenser with like. little cups. but like outside of that. no idea. have to text my friend and see if she rmbrs....

on the topic of arañita wip (take four) not being a fluke like all the other times LMAO. it's so funny bc i started frmb around this same time. i got the idea in mid-october 2022 but i didn't start writing until november. like november 1 exactly. meanwhile i restarted this/started chapter 1 october 13.... what a coincidence. and in that case. i was able to finish frmb until february this year. so it was four months. and um. 228k.

i do foresee arañita wip being long. i mean in general bc its three parts. but this is part one. and yes. yes. i do see it being this long. most likely? i am very long winded this is a Known Problem Of Mine so

i'm also back into writing things by chapter. so that's very fun

Thinking about the arañita wip and there’s two things going on in my brain. i keep thinking of the all thr scenes i want to write but that i cannot yet because i need to lay the foundation first and foremost. and also the only person this is tickling is me so. No one else will do it. Sad. but fine. the other thing….. i’m thinking i might be extra silly and add a third fic.

Damn. trying to parse out when jason makes his debut as red hood in relation to no man's land and red robin (2009)... it had to have been relatively recently. gotham opened up a little bit before tim's 16th... no idea how close he is to 18 in red robin but he is 17... sometime between that...

in another life leah and tim would absolutely be tennis rivals. except the rivalry would be one-sided. tim would think they are acquaintances. maybe even friends. leah would foam at the mouth every time he gets brought up

this is from chapter 1 of arañita wip (take four) i just finished it rn. i'm about to start chapter 2 because i already know where i want to take it and how i want to start it. but i know i kind of vaguely said i was restarting it after being Hit with inspiration Out Of Nowhere and as always i HATE to jinx anything because we have had um laughs nervously Several false starts. Several...

BUT. im really hoping that this time is different. if only because it is starting off in a completely different place. the previous versions start at the beginning of everything, at the beginning of leah officially meeting tim and then forming a reluctant alliance, so it was a bit slow going, right. this one is starting several weeks into their (still) (one-sided) reluctant alliance so their dynamic is kind of already in place.

did i pretty much take the easy way out. yes. but also it really was slow towards the beginning and i don't know Why it just Was and i think it's cause there was Too Much going on but i just. i like this way much better. it launches you straight into it there is a lot going on but in a good way, it's fun funky and fresh and i'm very excited and hope i can keep up with writing <3

doing read throughs for chapter 10 (this week friday) and chapter 11 (next week tuesday) for frmb, also prepped part 2 of dgfh for posting as well before that (which will be posted on sunday). after i finish i think…. i will work on arañita wip for a little bit. then continue wwt, my next daiya fic. today and yesterday were good breathers for me. just. ya know. chilling. and i was working on eof earlier today as well

planning to do some more writing tomorrow in the earlier part of the day since im hanging with friends in the evening. super super pleased. both with today's work and just in general Where i am at with the wip because i was able to finish chapter 4 and start chapter 5 (that was that 512 count LOL) and i think i'm really in the swing of things with it now??

like there is Stuff Happening and it's easier for me to see what the chapters should consist of according to the outline. also thinking it maybe Won't be as long as i thought it was? well. i mean. this is what everything looks like right now

so the chapters are long but i don't think we'll get anything as long as frmb, which has, on average, i feel, much shorter chapters. that one is 228k in its entirety and i feel like we won't get that crazy here but that could also be me just straight up lying (it has happened before; gestures to me overestimating when i would finish frmb and ending up with All That)

you know the more that i think about it the more im like. Hmmmmm. so. ignore all that. Maybe. but otherwise yeah!!! i'm super pleased with all of it actually. it's just the first chapters - the foundations - that are tough and it's probably my own fault for getting too in my head about it all but now. like i said. we are IN IT!
