At this point, I think the only way AA7 can properly resolve Apollo's story is if it's entirely dedicated to the Gramarye subplot, kinda like most of AA3 was about the Fey clan. AA5 skipped it in favor of bringing Phoenix back and the whole "Dark Age of the Law" thing, and AA6 was already so intense that dropping another reveal onto Apollo would probably just make him go insane. If AA7 is kept on the same level, they just won't have the time to resolve it unless it's the focus of the story.
Yeppers. I'm all for bringing some kind of resolution to them, but I don't think it's feasible to make AA7 entirely focused on a "Gramarye main plot".The troupe had already regained its prestige with Trucy being so popular and the truth of Phoenix's "forgery" revealed. Even 6-2 gave homage to them by retconning in another character in their group. Granted, he was an excellent addition and really brought in the Troupe's ill rep from the past. That said, it was cleanly resolved in that case. One guy who became successful but threw it all away because of some deep grudges is one thing. Writing another case with someone else the Troupe supposedly pissed off somehow will be repetitive; needless to say 3 or 4 in one game.It works with the Fey clan because they have a long history of family feuds and their Master actually has real power and influence in government. It's not surprising people in positions of power can and will be targeted by someone or some scandal. The Troupe has their feuds and scandals too, but it's a lot more local and has much less impact down the line. Regardless, SoJ wasn't really about the Feys anyway, despite Maya going from her last remnants of training to the official position. The only loose end I see from the Gramaryes is Thalassa and her kids, but even if she were written into a case, it's not a reveal worthy of a finale. Apollo and Trucy already act like brother and sister, so telling them they're related would be surprising and gratifying, but they'd still act the same way. I don't see how there will be some intense drama around "why didn't you tell us, Mr. Wright/Daddy" because Phoenix would obviously say "Your mom told me not to." And why did Thalassa take so long to tell them? Who knows. She needed a moment.Apollo would probably be a little irked, but he'll drop the issue pretty quick. Trucy wouldn't mind at all; she'd just be happy to know she actually has a mom... But that wouldn't mean Phoenix doesn't need to get a new "Mommy" for her. Said Mommy's gender is debatable. ;)In any case, I'm sure Apollo will be more shocked to understand that Phoenix will be his third "Dad" he's had, and the thought may drive him to flee to Khura'in again where it's less weird.
