also, re: that last post (and this is probably gonna make me sound like a dick), but i feel like some super-online people try to collect marginalized identities like they’re trading cards. it makes them feel special to be “x, y, and z” (moreso if “x, y, and z” are “in”). bonus points if it allows them to speak on issues they otherwise wouldn’t/shouldn’t bc they can now point to their “i’m x, y, and z” sign and how Dare you talk to me like that/call me out on my shitty beliefs! don’t you know i’m oppressed??
