1. Yoanna

This is it. This is the million-dollar jackpot shot that secured Yoanna’s victory in the end, and still remains to this day as one of the most beloved and acclaimed photographs to ever come out of this show. The focus coming from her face is so strong it’s frightening. Her eyes are spellbinding and I never noticed until now what beautiful shade of green they were. They contrast with the lips beautifully, and the symmetry is just divine here. This might be the closest thing we’ll ever get to a perfect beauty shot, and it blows Mercedes and Shandi’s shots out of the water (and considering how great their photos were, it really speaks volumes of Yoanna’s final hurrah).. Yoanna certainly crossed the finish line with a golden picture.

2. Mercedes

I’d almost forgotten how beautiful Mercedes’ bone structure is. It’s really highlighted here, and she has a very nice focus to the side. She looks tenacious and ready to get down for the win. Her styling I will never get, but she’s working it damn well so I’m not going to complain about it. I applaud how she keeps my eyes on her beautiful expression when there’s a head of crazy hair in the frame too. By all means, it’s a fantastic beauty shot, but really, there was no comparing it to Yoanna.

3. Shandi

I understand why Shandi was cut short of the final runway based on this shot. She looks really beautiful, but compared to her competitors this week, her shot just wasn’t in the same league. Her features have been enhanced delightfully- I love the blue of her eyes and how it stands out with her blonde curls and the milk complexion. She does look like a frightened deer caught by surprise in the woods if you focus solely on her eyes, and her mouth is too tight. Shandi’s body of work was respectable, but she fell short of breaking through into the final round.
