#anoles in comparison just seem festive

#my pics#this afternoon was a vibe#I’m from New England so I really get so much enjoyment out of just watching the anoles and dodging sun showers lol#when I’m in FL#I do worry about stepping on anoles though#I avoid stepping on bugs too of course but for some reason the idea of squooshing a vertebrate is just more horrifying#it’s cute how they scatter off paths into the bushes when you get close so all you see is the tails flashing by most of the time#like cold blooded fieldmice#or if you’re in back bay around 3am… wharf rats lol#anoles in comparison just seem festive#the squirrels here are so tiny btw#like you can tell they have half to a third of the fluff of our northern guys#the plants here are totally different than where I’m from so I don’t even know most of them#so fun#like why do people watch movies or go to like Avatar world and theme park stuff when you can just Go Outside and it’s real??#I don’t actually mean that to each his own but for me I love nothing more than just Looking at things#I love a trip where I can just walk around and be quiet and#get to know a whole new way of life (either ecosystem or human culture)
