I read this book for the #readersretreatsummerreadathon hosted by @readersretreatbox_india @readersretreatbookclub @bookedbyadnan and @the._bookarazzi The book covers #10 Strained Sibling Relationships & #6 Elemental Magic prompts. Review: ⭐⭐⭐.5/5 Stars. This book has a lot of triggers. By a lot, I mean A LOT! First adding them here. T/W: Racism, Bullying, Gangs, Violence, Gang Violence, Police Brutality, 1 HP Reference (for those who can get triggered from HP) This book had super nice characters with a nice storyline. The triggers were a lot but it was what made the story unique too. I loved the illustrations a lot. Brittney Williams, I have my eyes on you👀. The story is about Lolo a girl who ends up discovering she has secret powers during a fight to save her younger brother. I loved Lolo's character a lot. She is strong and fierce with a properly opinionated mind. She knows to determine what's wrong and what is right and that makes me admire her a lot. Overall I found the story a bit too intense, the writing was a bit rushed with a very small description of Lolo's world and characters but the illustrations were cute and the storyline was quite nice.
