My SUPER SUPER petty fandom habit and confession:

I occasionally look at the statistic numbers on AO3 and Lofter of the MXTX main pairs and their other big main popular ship... and laugh at the pebble next to the mountain when I get particularly salty at fandom shippers.

#bad writing my ass lmao #this could have been better #funny that this isn't said when the most popular fandom queer ship is not actually queer or canon and fandom is praised for it's imagination #but when it is a canon queer happy couple from the author #and thematically well written #it's not enough or suddenly boring #and usually the character who is bicycled is twisted to make the fanon pair work #because in the actual work themselves they were around that otherperson #sometimes for years #and didn't have romantic interest despite the many opportunities
