Got to watch the FNAF Movie last night with my partner and my best buddy tm and OH MY GOD DO I HAVE THOUGHTS-

Sort of spoilers? Maybe? As a heads up. Idk I'll be rambling so just to be safe imma put my thoughts under the cut

This movie honestly was what I wanted, yeah I would've liked some more horror but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Not to mention they FINALLY capitalized on the paranormal aspects of the series which us what I've wanted for ages!!! The ghost kids doing ghost things!!! The kids being able to manipulate the world around them AND the animatronics, and I assume Carl (Mr. Cupcake, he's Carl to me) falls in line with that? Sort of a Donna & Angie situation like in RE Village? Still it was a TREAT from start to finish, full of easter eggs and other nods to the fanbase and just, it was peak. Yeah corny in some places but like, FNAF has always been a little corny- oh AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE NODS TO THE SILVER EYES AND MATTHEW LILLARD'S PERFORMANCE AS WILLIAM!! LIKE FUCKING HE'S SO MENACING WHEN WE FINALLY SEE THE SPRING BONNIE SUIT, MFER HAS TO CROUCH THROUGH A DOORWAY- THEN STANDS UP FULL HEIGHT TO KICK THE SHIT OUT OF MIKE- JUST- I LOVED IT. Yeah every movie has it's flaws but ngl I think this healed something with my inner child. It's a treat and a delight, much like FNAF as a whole, while fun and a bit campy in some places it holds horrendously dark undertones. Also they actually addressed that William hid the bodies of the kids in the suits and I'm so glad they did, cause like, god that's a fucked up detail that goes so over looked these days.

OH OH AND ALSO. FUCKING. FULL USE OF PRACTICAL EFFECTS. THAT ALSO MAKES ME FUCKING LOOSE IT MAN. I LOVE PRACTICAL EFFECTS AND LIKE SEEING THE FILM AND THEN WATCHING DAWKO'S BEHIND THE SCENES VLOGS TO ACTUALLY SEE HOW MOBILE AND EXPRESSIVE THE ANIMATRONICS ARE?? LIKE GODDAMN, I HOPE EVERY PILLOW BELONGING TO THE PEOPLE AT JIM HENSON'S IS COLD FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF TIME CAUSE THEY DID SOME STUNNING WORK.

ALSO SPARKY THE DOG IS CANON NOW AND IM STILL NOT OVER ITTTTT- I REMEMBER THAT HOAX, I JOINED THE FANBASE RIGHT BEFORE FNAF 3 RELEASED AND LIKE, SPARKYYYY. THAT SILLY DOG HAS MY HEART!!!
