not only is darimila HYSTERICALLY funny as a crackship i think camila deserves a nice peacock of a boyfriend. i want her to show a photo of him at work and his coworkers are too busy wondering if this guy is an actor or a model or what to wonder about the ears or the goo hair. can you imagine darius helping the nocedas with groceries high heels and green eyeliner and god knows what else. MAN.

Firstly I love that this ask implies that Darius puts 0 effort into concealing his identity as a witch when he's in the human realm. This man is fully willing to expose magic and the demon realm in the town famous for producing a crackpot genocidal witch hunter everyone hates IF. and only if he can look fabulous doing it

I'm also on team Camila Deserves Nice Things anon, though I do differ on the details slightly, mainly because I'm sooooo enchanted by the Darius and Camila fake dating scenario I've cooked up in my brain. It both appeases the part of me that adheres to canon characterization of Camila as a woman who still, years later, has boxes of Manny's stuff lying around the house, yet to be put away, bc realistically she did not get proper space to mourn him when he died and she is not ready to move on...AND the part of me that, like you, wants Camilla's coworkers to see a picture of Darius and LOSE THEIR MINDS. HELLO??? THIS IS THE BAD BITCH SHE PULLED BY BEING AUTISTIC??? FR???????

And then I'm unsure whether or not I prefer Darius with romantic feelings for Camila? On the one hand I think, in the beautiful timeline where I actually wrote this, I'd prefer to have it come down on the side of "Darius and Camila are Good Friends who bond over how terrifying being a new(ly), single parent is"

and Hunter has to grapple with the fact that no, his family is not and never will be "normal" according to societies standards, and he cannot parent trap his parents into loving each other, but that doesn't make his family structure any worse off than something closer to a nuclear family.

Also I'd squeeze some juicy character exploration out of Luz bc she is SO not over her dad's death. She tries to downplay it and act like she is but she is not and it's very very clear in TTT. But she also wants her mom to be happy more than anything. And she loves love! And it'd make hunter happy! So she's just. Sitting there with gritted teeth trying not to get upset at the idea of Darius and her mom actually getting together and being happy.

But, tragically, I can't guarantee I'll ever fully write this out (though I fully encourage ppl to run with the idea if they like it. Please run with it I can't be the only one who's thought of this before) so I give myself a little more room to be silly and I say that. Darius is a person with a lot of walls up who likes pretending to be cool as a method of distancing himself from ppl, and I'd love to watch those walls get eroded by the overly sincere and silly sci-fi nerds that are his son-figure and his crush, who are also mother and son. Also I love the idea of Darius being a man in his forties with a crush. Yes!! Get more pathetic!!! Raeda is cowering rn!!!!!

IN CONCLUSION: I love you anon, I should really make SOMETHING based on the Darius Camila fake dating scenario, but if I don't, let this rambling serve as a testament to the GRIP it has on my brain

(i dont care to do c! tags bc theres. so many characters. if i dont say cc! then im talking abt the characters) normally i am not one to think much about the syndicate bc outside of ranboo being there to protect tubbo the syndicate Frustrates me a bit but. if phil starts to realize just how fucked over tubbo got by schlatt being erased from the narrative (and especially how shittily techno has treated tubbo) then i really hope they lean into like. the fact that the syndicate may soon turn into phil, niki, ranboo, and possibly the mystery member (im including mystery member mostly because i think tubbo is on good terms with almost everyone except like. dream, possibly wilbur but we'll see, and like the eggpire ppl but none of them are likely options but it is possible that the mystery member could just be neutral) all like. wanting tubbo to be safe and phil is *just* reasonable enough that i think he'd realize how unfair it is for tubbo to have been subjected to so much shit just for techno to introduce even more fear and the need to hide in his life

like phil already keeps the bee duo marriage and michael a secret, he lets tubbo come over and while of course its mostly from the semi lore vibes phil seems vaguely fond of tubbo already (i dont think phil and tubbo have father/son vibes tho, more just like. tubbo is just That Kid that adults cant help but adore even though the kid will rob them of house and home. slightly amused elder watching a tiny fucking gremlin make sex jokes and talk about soviet russia), niki from what i remember still cares about tubbo (probably because she cant redirect any anger towards him without realizing how unjustified it would be kcnsks she can come up with excuses for hating tommy but tubbo didnt do anything that niki has a problem with outside of her maybe having a bad view on butcher army if she knows about it?), ranboo is. ranboo. i dont need to clarify. and then like said theres a very low possibility of the fifth member *disliking* tubbo or being unable to sympathize with him.

people talk a lot about how techno needs to lose in a way that he cant easily come back from without introspection and i think while the rest of the syndicate standing up for tubbo would increase technos grudge against tubbo initially its also like. something that i think would maybe force techno to see tubbo as a person because now theres nothing techno can box (haha gettit. tubbox tubbo in a box tubbo getting boxed into certain roles by people who refuse to let him out techno esp doin this teehoo) tubbo into that wouldnt just. acknowledge that tubbo is a person. hes not apart of the government anymore, not planning any failed revolution, the most negative title to his name is being one of the nuke makers but even then thats out of fear and safety and techno knows that. otherwise tubbos current crimes are nothing thats special to tubbo (like. stealing and searching for evidence in ppls homes and stuff, the latter of which techno doesnr even know about). right now tubbos a husband, a father, a friend, a kid, *ex*-government, a person. and just.

i think that with how much foreshadowing about tubbos execution no longer being a secret amongst the witnesses and tubbo himself and soon being something that people close to techno like phil and ranboo know about as well (in that i want phil to learn that techno did it and for ranboo to learn about it in general bc hes just biased enough for tubbo and just smart enough that i think even if somehow he wasnt told who did it he could figure it out), and with the fact that tubbos lore has been confirmed to now be something thats actively going to be played into? i think (or at least hope) that it might spur phil and techno into finally seeing tubbos side of the story (and probably also get into the possibility of tubbo opening up to tommy and ranboo but i do think realistically either tubbo will try to play it off/not truly open up about how much its effected him or tubbo will at first shut down or go into complete repression mode, especially if phil and ranboo get the story from other people rather than tubbo himself [but god do i hope they confront tubbo himself]. either those two or tubbo talks about his emotions through fucking snapping at something/someone like he did at quackity when reminded of his execution, which as long as its Not tommy or ranboo ill absolutely be cheering on him for)

which is all a very convoluted way of saying uhh. *grabby paws at the ccs currently involved in the arc of clearing up personal misconceptions about l'manberg (and especially tubbos involvement and how easily those around him judged him based off of their versions of the story)* tubbo lore? tubbo healing tubbo talking about his problems? characters learning to see him as a person and recognizing how traumatized he is and that hes not uneffected but actively repressing any effects? please? (also ending note as the cherry on top of this essay that im sorry for dropping into your inbox: im kind of glad that tommys healing arc and tubbos possible healing arc are going to happen at similar times but are still separate. something something its nice to see acknowledgement that tommy and tubbo wont heal in the same way and arent going to know how to help each other but theyre still going through it together. their arcs are intertwining without removing their individuality and as someone w major co-dependency issues its kind of nice idk. you can be there for someone and still acknowledge that you have your own things to go through too and that while you wont be alone you shouldnt force those around you to support you. the bench trio are all helping each other out of free will and genuine love for each other while still realizing they have some problems they arent ready to talk about yet that arent forced to the open because theyre all doing their best to handle each other with care and i just. bench trio my beloveds. the kids are alright.) -🎭🎪 (also as the actual end note if theres ever a need to refer to me as something other than the emojis mask or eyez works fine but the idea of my name being the emojis is also Very Funny to me so do what you will)

I love how you started the first chapter; building that hope and the relief that each of the Rotten Four experiences differently before it bursts. I adore who you picked for each of them to notice/or be noticed by! The contrast of some looking to former, assumed 'enemies’ (e.g. Mal with Audrey and her fam. Evie being surprised that Snow was cheering for her [ah my heart (soft)].) versus others looking to new friends (e.g. Jay with his teammates) really stood out to me.

And then there’s King Adam… >.>

I def could feel that buoying happiness abruptly plummet with how you wrote it, taking time to show how each of the VK had a shred of hope for things maybe improving and then that happens.

Oh, the Rotten Four’s continued surprise at the citizens coming to their defense and support gets me. <3 It is def in character given how they were raised; however, it also makes me a little sad bc they did just do something objectively heroic/badass and are still unsure of if it’s enough to outweigh everything else. With that everything else including so much…(e.g. ingrained biases, hate based off of blood, fears, the rotten four did technically plot, etc.).

“Even Audrey pipping in their defense” yes, ppl sometimes forget how soft she was at the end of D1??? Giving that smile to Mal.

(^^Audrey about to throw hands bc the VKs actually did not bring fire and brimstone to Auradon…and may be marginally, slightly okay in some sense..maybe.)

Me, a person who likes the fang trope in fic bc /vampires/: *reads about King Adam’s fangs peeking through* hmm…

That was such a good detail to include; it underscores how his actions are beastly, callous, and aggressive??? He is interrupting (more like shattering) not only the coronation, but the start of healing between the VKs and Auradon. The cold arrogance of his words (me-centric, patronizing,) are a good contrast to his aggressive body language (stepping forward, fang barred smile, and clasping his hands like he is trying to stay the need to act–to strike???) too. You got the beast-man dynamic really well is what I’m trying to say.

“Trust me, I know what’s best for Auradon, and for all of us.”

^I would not trust him as far as I could throw him, which would not be very far bc he’s pretty hulking, so yeah that saying fits well.

Ah my heart (sad). I really respect how you captured them being overwhelmed by the events of their weeks on Auradon, bc I def agree that all that planning,sneaking, plotting, adapting, enduring, bullying, pretending, worrying, and other -ings would be so draining. (You get my point.) I think that was a very good take on it as opposed to them trying to struggle right off the bat. They are tired, they are kids, so that was a smart choice, imo.

King Adam premeditated exactly how to take them down efficiently and effectively….*sharpens deadly object*. :-( I don’t like him. Using magic sealing or inhibiting cuffs to prevent any errant spells was a smart tactical move…He is still a jerk though, but that is in character for a High King to plan ahead. Sedating them? Again, smart. I actually liked the capture scene (even though I love the Rotten Four), since how you had it play out highlights how he thought about any possible objection/obstacle, which makes the disdain for Adam grow. Their voices and ability to argue or reason with the citizens of Auradon was taken with them alongside their ability to fight back and make a stand.

Carlos has a valid point. He was the last to put his hand in the huddle in the film, but also is more of a pessimist/realist, imo, so I liked that insight from him!

You know I didn’t think about how the sedation and rough handling by the guards would make it easier for their parents to get a hold of them. Evie and Carlos trying to find comfort in each other made me a little emotional. I can only imagine how nerve wracking it must have been for Evie to wait all alone…>.> It does make sense to me that she and Carlos would have a better chance of getting free (and possibly less severe punishment). [RIP Mal].

I like how the two 'nerds’ are scheming to save the day. <3

Hmm, curious who this 'them’ is that needs to be convinced. I have some guesses, but maybe more hands/help are needed and Evie is def the person who could convince ppl to lend a hand.

Okay. *deep breath* >.> It hurt my bby (Evie in this instance) to smile…I’m not saying we should kill Adam, but he should suffer. (Honestly, in most of my fics I put Evie through some stuff and yet reading yours make me feel protective so ???).

Oh mystery device ftw. Carlos being a mechanical, tinkering genius ft. Evie’s support and own genius is going to create a deadly duo. Mal and Jay are the priority, though I am also curious as to who they view as there main enemy now (Auradon? Beast? Their parents? Hmm…All of them to some degree. We shall see.).

Yessss. That made me happy and was such a killer line after the heaviness of them reuniting and taking stock of everything (and most notably who is still missing).

Such an interesting, well paced, and amazing start! :D

It would be hard for me to pick a favorite part since each segment lends itself to the overall impact, though as much as I hate him, I think Beast’s mini speech was really well done. Awesome work!
