going on the "Transgender people in sports" wikipedia page is always fascinating because there are multiple links to scientific sources saying that males retain biological advantages over females regardless of hormone intake, and there'll be a counter-argument that's like "this organisation that is not scientific says it's not fair to trans women :/."

Gee I wonder who I should listen to

#there's paragraphs of information around non-binary females who competed in women's sports at the 2020 olympics #and it's like that's not the topic at hand #no one cares that females are competing in female sports even if they use they pronouns #and there'sno info about these athletes causing controversy #and then you go to the lia thomas section and it's all about the controversy #and they even include this gem #'by the conclusion of Thomas's swimming career at UPenn in 2022 #her rank had moved from 65th on the men's team to 1st on the women's team in the 500-yard freestyle #and 554th on the men's team to 5th on the women's team in the 200-yard freestyle'
