the thing is about having to give away a pet and not knowing where theyre going is that when you see pictures online of similar looking pets you take a pause and examine them to see if maybe theyre the same pet, but they never are, are they? but you hope everytime that they are

i dont actually know what i would do if i did see the pets i miss, though

#sorry this is super random i just think about it a lot #my post #weve had a few pets over the years but we usually had to give them away because they had issues we couldnt afford to fix #one in particular was a small cat who was a previously feral cat turned domestic #but feral cats never truly stop being feral at least a little #and she kept digging in our trash when we werent looking and would end up vomiting up whatever she ate later #and it just became way too much of an issue and in early 2020 we gave her away and i just still think about her #she was so small despite being fully grown and she loved being held (the other cats never liked it) and she had such a long tail and #and she would scream about everything but it was the cutest scream and it was never annoying #i love my cat ghost but her screaming is. so annoying #i hope shes happy wherever she is. i hope someones holding her
