i remember one time I saw a take on the prison arc on twitter, and i can't remember how exactly it went, but it was basically like "abuse needs strong emotional attachment to be abuse and that's why the prison wasn't abusive because sam and quackity didn't have a strong emotional investment in dream" which there's a lot wrong in that statement but i guess to start is that c!Sam is a lot of things but emotionally uninterested in dream is certainly not one of them
