A lot of people want community, but they don't want to put in the work and effort it takes to build community
to be honest, I've considered that some people's concept of community tends to be aggressively one sided
#i just saw a tiktok video that made me think about it and maybe I'll talk more about this later#but yeah this has been making me really frustrated because i see a lot of leftists talk about community but exist like they're an island#or that if someone asks you for a favour they're basically harassing you#like you get it. that's kinda part of it. being there for each other because you care. bc they're part of your community.#or talking shit out and allowing for growth#instead of punishing them with exclusion bc they made a mistake w/o even communicating with them what it was#idk i have a lot of thoughts on this#and it's just like... the discourse is so superficial. i kinda think people use buzzwords to appear more progressive than they actually are#because appearances matter more than actual beliefs i guess#random trouble
