#I am on hour 2 of writing the paper for my Maimonides class#and this book may actually kill me#pre-revolutionary Russian orthography (especially in clunky 19th ct texts about phislophy and religion) is the product of the devil#why the fuck do there have to be so many hard signs and soft signs?#(never mind that it’s mixed in with so fucking much Arabic and Hebrew - so my brain keeps switching lanaguges)#ахххххх перевод старых русских книг заставляет меня хотеть умереть#me stuff#not the stones#russian#русская литература#I tried to check my own translation against Google Translate#just to make sure I didn’t screw up anything big#and it told me иудаизм means Buddhism#so that’s worthless
