2Moons2: a guilty pleasure
ngl lads, i put on 2Moons2 as background noise while i try to study. i forgot how very self-indulgent it is and now its beck in my radar as one of my guilty pleasures.
its not perfect, gods no. the story telling is subpar, i think 2 moons2 spent waaay too much time retelling the first 2moons, but i guess it served as a great stepping stone to get to know the new cast and their roles, so im not that mad about it. I still wished that they gave us more MingKit and ForthBeam though. like Pha and Wayo is already a couple, can we focus on how Ming is trying to score Kit and how Kit is shooting every advances down??? give me MingKit please??? also ForthBeam??? My dude Forth was so distressed because he doesn't do one-night stands so he is trying to make an honest man out of Beam who just wants to fuck off because of course he is an emotionally stunted gremlin. So much potential to push forward the other storylines but we only got the bare minimum. i want to scream. i love the 2moon's franchise's story but the execution barely hit.
and if only Motive Village did not fuck up on handling the actors under their label!!! they suck so much!!! like wtf bro??? seriously??? do you hate money??? screwing up your actors is bad bossiness my dude, jfc

Can I request some forthbeam meeting the in-laws for both?
This turned out longer than expected. Also, want to mention since I saw @romanceismycallingcard commented on the MingKit fic I wrote yesterday..where they mention how it’s the same couple but totally different dynamic. So because of that I’m gonna tell you that my ForthBeam is PavelDome from 2Moons2. I got into that version more so than 2Moons. Granted, I’ll give it to 2Moons because I think they handled the Phayo relationship better? I actually watched for them in 2Moons. As for 2Moons2, I’m definitely hooked on MingKit and ForthBeam more...anyway, without further ado:
Beam nervously tightened his grip around Forth’s middle as the gate to his house opened. His eyes widened with surprise and just then he realized how rich Forth actually is. Forth pulled the motorcycle into a garage that was already opened.
“You ready?” Forth asked Beam as he sat frozen to the vehicle. He didn’t say anything. Forth took the helmet off his head, hung it on a handlebar and then took Beam’s face in his hands and gave him a small sweet kiss. “Beam,” he whispers. Finally, he had eye contact.
“Yes, I’m ready!” Beam exclaims and jumps off the motorcycle. Forth chuckles and intertwines their fingers as they went through a side door into the house.
“Mom! Dad!” Forth calls out to what seems like empty space to Beam. His mom came running from the kitchen. She jumped at her son, hugging him tightly. Beam swayed on his feet from the momentum since Forth didn’t let go of his hand when it happened. She stood back, squeezing Forth’s arms.
“Unfortunately, your father is tied up with work tonight. So it’s just me.” Then suddenly she was looking at Beam. He gulped. “This is him?” She smiled and then gestured for a hug. Beam smiled and accepted the embrace. Forth still hadn’t let go of his hand. That was a good thing because if he did Beam would probably start anxiously bouncing around.
“Come, Come,” Forth’s mother started towards the kitchen. “You can help me finish dinner.”
“What’s this?” Forth’s mom grabbed an index finger that had a ring she’d never seen before on it. She knew her son wore jewelry and it wasn’t a big deal to her, but this ring she didn’t recognize. Forth sets down his spoon and fork, swallowing back his bite of food.
“That’s why I asked for this dinner, Mom.” Forth started. Beam wasn’t paying attention so he reached under the table and squeezed his thigh. He turned his gaze to Forth. “Mom, we’re engaged. We want to get married.”
“I assume you’d feel better if I also broke this news to your father so you don't have to come back later to do it?”
“You know your son so well,” Forth scrunches his nose at her.
“Are you two staying the night?” She asked as she started to clear dishes, but Beam suddenly jumped from the chair without a word and took over clearing the table. She stopped.
“What’s that about?” she whispers to Forth.
“Oh. he’s a man of a few words. Beam is all about action. After all, my fiance is going to be a doctor.”
“Hmm,” his mother mused. “I’ll let you two get settled in your room. I’m going to my den to read my books.” She kissed Forth on the forehead and left them in the kitchen.
Beam started washing dishes without question as well. He felt arms wrap around him and a chin falls into his shoulder. “Babe,” Forth kisses his cheek. “You don't have to do this. Usually, my mother has someone to help, but sometimes, she enjoys doing all of this herself.”
“Forth,” Beam murmurs as he washed a plate. “I’m scared to take you to my family tomorrow.”
“Whatever happens we will get through this together.” Forth squeezes him tighter and Beam leans back into him. “Let’s put this down.” Forth makes Beam put the sponge down. “Let’s go to my room.”
He gently takes Beam by the hand and they race upstairs. After Forth closes the door, Beam shoves him against it, pressing a hard kiss to his lips. “Are you that nervous?” Forth asks as he tears away. Beam merely nods, re-attaching their lips. Forth backs them towards the bed. He throws Beam onto it, slowly crawling up his body, but then Beam loses patience and grabs his face. He frantically, feverishly and ferociously bites Forth’s lips into another kiss. Forth hisses, but takes a slight pain, instead of breaking the kiss. As usual, Forth expected to be in for one wild night.
__
The next morning they have a quick breakfast with Forth’s mother and then as much as Beam wanted to procrastinate they had to make the drive to meet his family now. He wished they had taken his car. The motorcycle was getting very annoying. It only added to his nerves and he’s surprised he hadn’t cracked any of Forth’s ribs from holding on so tightly.
__
“Hi, Dad.” Beam meekly waved. Then Forth understood Beam’s nervousness when he clocked the look at their hand being held.
“I thought it’d be just you for this lunch,” Dad stated matter of fact and left the door open for them to come through. “Your mother might not be happy to set up another plate.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know how to tell you over the phone.”
Dad waved his hand and rolled his eyes. Forth instantly felt better that he was wrong about the look at the front door. “Honestly, we had our suspicions, your mother and I. You spent so much time with Kit in high school and still do now.” Forth burst into laughter. Beam tugged on his arm to get him to stop.
“What’s so funny, hmmm?” Dad turns his attention to Forth.
“It- it- um,” Forth stumbles to explain. “He- it’s just- it’s funny you mention Kit. Beam started fake dating him and then thought he had real feelings. Thankfully, it was all fake and he has feelings for me.” Forth finally spit out, then caught his breath.
Dad chuckles. “If you’re happy then that’s all that matters. Follow me to the patio.”
Forth gazed around, realizing that Beam’s home wasn’t as big as Forth’s but it was certainly right down that middle. “What’s our house going to look like?”
Beam smiled at him. Then his mother gasped at the sight of him. “AH! My son, my son! Come here, here.” Beam was enveloped in a hug and this time there was so much momentum that Forth was forced to let go of Beam’s hand. Mom sits Beam at the table, paying no never mind to Forth just yet. Then like Forth’s mother her eyes zeroed in on a ring. She holds up Beam’s hand and shakes it.
“Does this mean I should allow you,” she points at Forth with her free hand, “to call me Mom?”
“Mom,” Beam interjects. “Let me explain.”
“My son wants to get married, what’s there to explain? Though, I do have one complaint. You two are still so young, should think about making it a long engagement and then getting married later on.”
“Wise decision, my love,” Beam’s Dad smiles and gives his wife a kiss on the cheek. Forth smiles big, knowing full well this is where Beam gets his kindness and nurturing nature from. Dad sets lunch before them and before Forth knows it he is stuck in full-body fits of laughter.
---
Back at Beam’s dorm, they rest on the sofa. Forth kicks back, shirts off, head in Beam’s lap. “So how long is this engagement going to be?”
“Let’s get through senior year and find places to work, then take it from there.”
“When do you start a residency?”
“In a month.”
“Hmm, that means you’re going to get really busy soon.”
“Yes.”
“Will you still have time for your sexy fiance?” Beam chuckles.
“Maybe.”
Forth sits up and swings a leg over Beam. He sinks into his lap, Beam admiring his bare chest. To this day, he’s still overcome with how good his boyfriend’s body looks. Beam brushes some hair from Forth’s forehead, fingers tracing over the scar.
“I can’t wait to tell that story to our grand-kids,” Forth laughs. He takes Beam’s hand and kisses his fingers.
“How about we don't? It’s been a few years, but I still feel terrible,” Beam groaned. Forth continues to kiss his fingers, his hand too, hoping he’d shut up. “I dropped a fucking hammer on your head.”
Forth sighs. “Beam, I’m alive. I am sitting right here in your lap and there are thousands of other things you should be thinking about.”
“Like what?”
“This is one of them.” Forth gripped the back of the sofa, locked their eyes and then tenderly brought their lips together. Beam hummed into the kiss and as they got lost in each other, he had only one thought, till death do them part.

Wei watches 2Moons2 Ep 7: HAPPY INTERNATIONAL FORTHBEAM DAY
Today’s ep is pretty interesting because we get something for all three couples. I’m excited. Phoom and Dome have also been trying to get us all hype for the ForthBeam section so let’s go in READY!
Kit’s expressions here over the cake? Amazing. The conversation between him and Ming about the cake? Cute. Kit asking WHY HASN’T MING ANSWERED HIS TEXTS? Next level. The full MingKit experience is coming soon.
Pha asking Yo who he’s with is pretty controlling, but standard for Pha. At the very least, PhaYo seem to respect each other’s time and choices, which is something I’ve seen other people say in their liveblogs. See, this is how you do “artistic interpretation that updates and enhances the story.” Take some fucking notes Khun New.
So cute that Pha ran over to give Yo pink milk though.
Montry’s advice to go see Pha was good, but Suthee the relationship councilor was better. I can’t remember for sure, but I think in the novel that Yo says that Suthee is nice to talk to, so it’s good to see that reflected here.
I also love that Kit wonders what’s up, and then sees Pring all over Pha and rolls his damn eyes because shit Pha, you know what that would look like and you need to stop her. I also love how Beam is a shit and is like, “Look boss, it’s your boyfriend come to see you!”
Ben’s surprised face and then “Oh shit, he’s mad” face were alright. Could use a bit of work.
But after seeing Pring’s face when Pha is like, “Look at my boyfriend!” I know we’re definitely in for jealous Pring and shitty Park arc. And that upsets me. I was hoping with how they had de-emphasized Pring that we wouldn’t see this arc. Alas. Maybe we’ll only get a piece of it.
They are giving MingKit all the soft, “I am saying I like you without saying I like you,” lines and I’m down for that. Like Kit saying, “Don’t back up for too long,” is the same thing as, “I miss you and want to see you more often. Don’t keep running for too long.” and I think that’s beautiful.
Kit’s gay panic at seeing Ming come to pick him up was just as fun.
And at last. The moment we were waiting for. We saved the best for last. The ForthBeam section!
The party at Lam’s is so so, but the ForthBeam conversation? That mood lighting? The way they went for it? So good. It is a lot more emotional than the way it sounded in the novel, which is good. It makes what happens here less of a drunken fling and more seeking emotional comfort, which is what Beam was probably wanting. And their kisses did not disappoint. At all. Like, I knew I loved you for a reason Phoom. I have to throw Dome up there as well now because he did a great job too.
Their conversation the morning after is a little difficult to follow. We’re not exactly given enough context as to why Beam is upset with himself, or maybe I just didn’t catch it all. It’s also interesting to note that Forth is being pushed as the aggrieved party because I’m guessing he feels used?
Based on the closing line, “I don’t like one night stands,” I’m guessing Forth is actually interested in Beam since before all this happened. At least to some extent. OR he’s just that kind of charming man that wants to date you properly while blowing your mind. I’m good with either scenario here. I am also sad that we don’t get a lot of Forth’s internal dialogue because it explains why he suddenly realizes he’s into Beam, or at least why he wants to date Beam. Maybe we’ll get that in the next ep.
Overall, a good episode. Lots of forward motion for all three relationships. And at least they didn’t fishbowl us. They just faded to black tastefully. At least I got to see Phoom’s nipples? Happy ForthBeam Day everyone!
