“Forget the time cause I’m seven hours behind” walked, so that “if it’s a seven hour flight” could run.

7 / 10 / 11 / 23!
7: three songs you didn’t expect to like but eventually loved
k this is perfect timing bc i just started listening to kasey musgraves who i resisted for a while bc of my notorious antipathy toward country. buuuut my baby sister recommended her to me and “oh, what a world” is such a lovely song. i love ittttt. SO MUCH.
tbh i wasn’t super sold on some of marina’s new songs when they first dropped. i mean, ‘superstar’ i INSTANTLY loved, but like. baby? orange trees? eh. but they grew on me! and ‘to be human’ is classic marina. i adore.
blackpink’s ‘kill this love’! i really did not like it at first, but it grew on me.
10: three favourite Halloween/spooky songs
“this is halloween” from nightmare. a classic. truly.
“thriller”. does anything else compare? no.
a more recent spooky fave is ”turn off the light” by kim petras feat. elvira. pure campy pop perfection. i LOVE.
and then there’s like everything chelsea wolfe has ever produced if we’re talking truuuuuly spooky and terrifying. lovelovelove.
11: three favourite songs from a movie or TV series soundtrack
idk if this is asking for songs written FOR a movie/tv series or just featured in, because my love of film scores is intense and extensive, but here’s literally what comes to my addled brain after a long, loooong day:
god, whatever, everything wendy carlos composed for the shining. i don’t care. this probably belongs in the previous category of spooky songs, but that score. nothing COMPARES.
do movie musicals count? because literally EVERYTHING from mamma mia! and everything michelle pfeiffer touched in hairspray. but also meryl’s rendition of “last midnight” from into the woods? wig???? what wig
you know how they used “talk show host” by radiohead in romeo + juliet (1996)??? yeah. that. that.
23: three songs that never fail to get you pumped up
literally ALL of bts’ hype tracks
all shitty music from the early to mid-2000s tbh. i’m signed up for life.
ABBA. fuck. literally all ABBA. don’t @ me.
‘I WANT IT ALL’ from hsm3. slytherin anthem of the century, i’ll fight u + anyone else on this.

It's 2 a.m. the apartment tower is having a power outage and it is absolutely pitch black as fuck in the living room right now. When the power cut out my dog came and cuddled up against my feet because all of the lights shutting off might have initially startled her, either way she's adorable and I love her.
It's been about a month now since I started sleeping on the couch and my dog sleeps out here with me at my feet, keeping me company. Sometimes she'll even come sleep by my head and in the morning she'll walk up to me and put her nose against me and lick my face to wake me up.
I've been stuck in my apartment for 2 weeks now with covid and I finally get to leave this place and basically re-enact "The Hobit".
I had another dream about you. I woke up and I was sad the dream ended, but so happy that you were in one of them again when I rarely remember any of my dreams to begin with. Those dreams really are my favorite. I can't even exaggerate that enough, honestly. Truly, truly, truly, truuuuuly, my favorite.
I started to find songs to sing again. Even though I have this god forsaken nasaly voice I will sing Curse of Curves to my hearts content. It's almost like it's comforting to be honest. Singing in general, but also singing that song as well.
It's cherry blossom season and my voice might be a little more nasaly sounding because of all the pollen, but damn.. Japan is just such a beautiful place to live.
I'm excited to get back to working out tomorrow since I've been using that as like an extension of dealing with my inner feelings and also just to become healthier again. I found out that screaming into a pillow can be pretty therapeutic as an alternative though. I'd honestly never tried it before. I've even contemplated smoking or vaping really badly, but I haven't yet. Nothing ever really lines up right either and it's almost like the universe is just telling me not to. Who knows.
It's been rough, but it's gotta get better. Ya know? When it does, I know everything will make sense.
