Parents guilted me into spending basically all my spring break with them at home (in their defense I never told them I wanted to only be home a few days)

Fucking basement flooded. Again. There’s some sort of flooding/water damage every year or so in this goddamn house. I don’t know if it’s bc the house is fucking put together and was repaired with gum and duct tape by the previous owners or that the ppl my dad brings in to do actual repairs always suck ass, but both is likely

#I can’t get to the back corner where my home art stuff is bc the basement is a borderline hoarder situation #like the og plan was finished + SOME storage + video game/kid hang out area #then more random crap from my parents would end up down there or wouldn’t be put away after digging around in storage #then flood 1. had to gut it out. didn’t refinish it (thankfully) and tried to stick with the same plan (but w suspiciously less kid space)#then flood 2. after clean up it started off w mostly the same usage then became a more dedicated work space for me and hs bro during covid #and during that like 2-3 year gap w/o basement flooding (dw other parts got fucked instead) soooo much junk ended up down there #like cardboard boxes of literal junk my dad cleaned out from his car/office desks. and just plopped down on the floor #and just spread out everywhere. like it wouldn’t be AS bad if the junk was stacked up #oh wait I lied. we HAVE had water issues since covid down there. but just small things that didnt wreck it 🙃#anyways. had to deal w dad yelling and blaming everyone else for there being a bunch of crap down there <3 yay!!#bri rambles
