#if you’re going to be specific be accurate. if you want to be specific but aren’t sure of the details Make Up A Fake Theater Company#‘I need you to tell me on September 1st if you can rehearse starting in January for Shakespeare at the Delacorte’ no you don’t#they are NOT casting a rando non-eq actor in September for the June show#they are NOT REHEARSING FOR FIVE MONTHSSSS#rehearsals start in late March/early April usually!#‘tell me on sept first if you can be in my show at the prestigious Rogerson Theater for Prospect Park Shakespeare Festival’ great!#none of those things exist so I don’t know that the imaginary casting department isn’t overeager!#and apparently the imaginary PPSF can afford to pay actors for three times as much rehearsal#(also and with less conviction bc it’s possible just not super likely: I doubt you’re gonna do much ado. we just did much ado.)#(there’s 38 shows and we even do the shitty ones.)#(we had dick 2 in 2020 (cancelled for covid) and dick 3 in 2022.
