if i lived in the avatar universe and was from the water tribe and couldn’t waterbend but my younger sibling could and i just had to sit there and watch how powerful they got moving water with their mind and being able to heal and the sheer power and versatility of the form but no matter how hard i tried the water would not budge for me no matter what. well i would simply kill myself. sokka is so strong

#i rmr seeing katara’s waterbending develop and improve for the first time as a kid #and wanting that power so bad #having dreams about being able to move water and waking up distraught that it was just a dream #idk what I’d do if I was sokka #like the fact that he makes peace with it is crazy #I genuinely don’t think I could #and I know being a waterbender comes with a lot of baggage for katata #but it’s also so clearly a source of passion and joy and culture and healing and life and power #and knowing that you could have that... but you don’t!!!#oh man #no wonder he’s so depressed and bitter. honestly #like can u fucking blame him. I cannot #sokka #katara&sokka #but mostly a post about ME! because I want to waterbend #and my only consolation is that it’s physically impossible #imagine it being possible but u can’t! like srsly I’d end it all so quick #anyway i think this is why sokka hits different if ur disabled. iykyk
