Bittersweet Reunion AU
TFA AU wherein the jet twins are Starscream's offspring specifically produced by the autobot government, and their finding out kicks off an entire domino effect storyline
Blitzbee Baby AU
Exactly what it sounds like. TFA Bumblebee gets Blitzwing sparked up and neither of them realize until he enters emergence
Cross Dimensional Shenanigans
- Umbrella tag for anything that involves more than one iteration of transformers interacting with each other
Cross Dimensional Starblitz
- How the CDS started. Focuses solely on TFP Starscream and TFA Blitzwing’s weird friendship
Cryptid Seekers AU
- Everything is the same except seekers are terrifying cryptids. Nuff said
Cybermorphs AU
- An AU in which a group of warframes working off planet accidentally stumble into an ancient, buried xenomorph nests, and come back to Cybertron bearing what becomes the first generation of cybertronian-xenomorph hybrids, aka the Cybermorphs. Features a lot of world building, Cybermorph Queen Megatron, a lot of fun alien biology, and some angsty MegOP among other ships
Cybertronians Are An Invasive Species
- No war AU wherein cybertronians are an invasive pest species that have moved onto earth and cause the most havoc
Cybertronians Are An Invasive Species: The Soap Opera
- Takes place in the invasive species AU, but specifically is about a goofy soap opera created by humans with the bots as the inspiration
De-Extinction AU
TFA, the autobots have finally run out of stored Allspark energy and, seeing as the artificially created population is completely sterile, are now an officially endangered species. Their only chance at salvation lies with the decepticons and their ability to produce "sparklings"... whatever those are 🤭
Hindsight AU
- Aligned continuity. Arcee goes back in time in an attempt to stop the war with the help of Vector Prime, accidentally creates a much worse world. Goes through several crazy timelines, currently on the Self Imposed Exodus.
OS×BB AU
A TFA storyline wherein Omega Supreme wakes much much earlier than canon, becoming truly self-aware and sentient. He and Bumblebee form a connection and Things Happen
Shadows House AU
- Exactly what it sounds like. All of our favorite bots and cons are parasitic fae members of the Shadows Family. Megatronus is plotting to bring it down from the inside. Lots of secrets and spooky stuff
Subnautica AU
- Starscream and Skyfire (and sometimes the other seekers) stranded on the terrifying hell planet, 4546B
Terran Task Force
- An angsty AU that involves GHOST getting their slimy hands on the Emberstone and making legions of their own little terran warriors
The Repopulation Project
- A dystopian future AU wherein the autobots won the war, and in an effort to save their species from extinction, implemented the repopulation project. It warped and twisted over time til the war frames are kept as nothing but livestock to be bought, traded, and harvested. In an attempt to change the horrific conditions of their present society, Optimus gambles by having decepticon high command reborn in the hopes that they'll be able to overturn the huge mess he made
Unicron Reborn AU
- Technically an AU/what-if of the 5th timeline of Hindsight. Unicron is killed and later reborn as a sparkling on Cybertron; Megatron adopts him. Later gives rise to The Spawn

Regarding your Amnesiac Starscream AU concept: just as a little thought experiment, what do you think the other "Cons would be like as amnesiacs? Amnesiac!Blackarachnia would probably just be Elita-1, and personally I see Amnesiac!Blitzwing being quiet and intelligent like his Icy persona but also timid, sensitive, and a scaredy-cat (who's deathly afraid of the Autobots due to my headcanon that he was an AUtobot experiment as Blackarachnia experimenting on him was a Hasbro mandate and not the direction the writers wanted to take) and Animated!Shockwave being a dorky, emotional sweetheart who wants to use science to make the world a better place, but I'm not too sure how Amnesiac!Megatron and Amnesiac!Lugnut would act.

amnesiac blitzwing: he was a newly forged bot in the autobots rank, they were experimenting with making aerialbots to combat the decepticons, unfortunately, due to not having much knowledge on fliers anatomy and any records of such being purged in the times of the protectobots ruling, most of these newly forged bots either died, were not capable of fighting due to physical deformities and chorionic pain and other issues to date, the ones survived were experimented on and dissected, once the decepticons caught air of this they raided the autobots scientific facilities to rescue these trapped bots, amnesiac blitzwing is shaky, scared mess, almost feral in behavior and doesn’t trust anyone, his other personalities switching almost constantly and erratically, he hides away from anyone as a first respond, get too close and you will get severely mauled, he needs a hug.
amnesiac Megatron: he reverts to his mind set as a gladiator, he is deathly silent and extremely brutal, only ever seeming friendly with others of similar frametypes, while not as cunning or planning as his present self, he fights with great brutality and strength that most that face him are only found in parts, he is not a bot to be reckoned with.
amnesiac Lugnut: Lugnut was a royal guardbot to a family known in altihex as richest, he was often treated as a mere object and was punished if he does anything slightly off, once he heard Megatron speeches rallying bots to join his cause, to take down the cruel senate and council and never be treated unjustly based solely on frametypes, the poor guardbot was enraptured, he is a timid, soft spoken bot, twitchy and afraid of punishment due to his previous owners cruelty, but has strong determination and loyalty.

throwing out a list of canon alternate timelines and spinoffs just so i don’t have to keep them all in my head. this is specifically SNAP AUs that involve no OCs or major world/premise/basic building block overhauls, as they all come from a butterfly effect seeded in SNAP canon, and may actually feature in SNAP canon. there’s bound to be more as i come up with them but this is just what i have to start (i love the spinoff timelines created by OCs too, no worries, this isn’t some blanket ban on ya’ll showing me SNAP OCs)
SNAP canon’s universal stream is Sumahopu 1019.6 Gamma, and all of these are canon AUs within the larger Sumahopu cluster. i could probably come up with universal stream labels for them but eh, i like the pithy titles i have for them instead. (for those of you who are normal about Transformers lore, a universal stream is a sci fi in-universe classification of various continuities and the types of fiction they appear in. the G1 cartoon for example is Primax 984.17 Alpha, with the first part naming the G1 continuity, the second being the start date, and the third the term for an animated series. in this case, Sumahopu is a mashup of sunappu and mahou, in keeping with the anime theme)
Shattered Glass: (point of divergence- ~5 billion years ago) a negative polarity Vector Sigma chooses ambition instead of relationship, and everything spirals from there.
Poor Mech’s Function: (point of divergence- ~2-4 billion years ago) the Guiding Hand are not around to guide anymore. Famines and natural disasters wrack Cybertron throughout history. When functionism rises, people grow ever more desperate.
Does The Dog Die, God Convoy?: (point of divergence- both mid SNAP and billions of years ago in a timey wimey mess) an ancient hero loadbears every burden, and a jealous goddex intervenes. A friend is lost to the depths of history, spawning a lot of universal constants that affect even the primary universe.
Severed Hand: (point of divergence- ~3.5 billion years ago) there are a certain five amnesiacs wandering around. No one remembers their names.
Fifth Face of Darkness: (point of divergence- ~3.5 billion years ago) a key is stolen, a god is enslaved, and a third moon orbits Cybertron.
Our Trio’s Down To Two: (point of divergence- during the main character’s childhoods) Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker are a close trine. In this timeline, that fact does not prevent them from being split up. Three variations depending on which sibling was separated.
Playing God: (point of divergence- prior to the JAAT opening) Jhiaxus lives. The school he dreamed of becomes unnecessary when someone mysteriously recruits him. Nightracer gets a sword.
Swapsies- Greenlight Edition: (point of divergence- during the JAAT’s application period) Windblade elects not to become an interplanetary transfer student, and Greenlight never gets to go to Caminus. When the Autobots form, Orthia is among them.
Nothing Happens: (point of divergence- a few vorns prior to SNAP) the JAAT opens, and is never attacked. No disasters occur, no children get relics, no heroes rise up. The JAAT has no librarian.
Worse Things Happen: (point of divergence- Nothing Happens timeline mid/post JAAT era) Megatron is a candidate for empurata who learns that sometimes, violence is the answer. Orion is a simple dockworker given something amazing and horrible in equal measure as he’s expected to end this burgeoning uprising. Civil war is on the horizon.
Inheritance: (point of divergence- mid SNAP) heroes die, and their families mourn. Dominus is the first to take up his fallen sibling’s relic.
Magnificent Useless Ones: (point of divergence- SNAP s2) the Magnificence finds a new host. Red Alert finds bravery. The junkers find power, and the universe will be their feast.
Swapsies- Iacon Edition: (point of divergence- SNAP s3) Wreck-Gar becomes a DJD member.
High Class Thunderblast: (point of divergence- mid SNAP) the reign of the new empress and her minions leads Cybertron to prosperity. No one ever sees Nightracer again.
Swapsies- Swerve Edition: (point of divergence- SNAP s3/4) Swerve becomes Soundwave instead of Rumble and Frenzy.
Tailgate Tries Again: (point of divergence- late SNAP s4) Tailgate watches his hero die, takes up his sword, and finds himself back in time on the first day of school with a magical relic in his hands.
Optimus X: (point of divergence- mid SNAP and post SNAP in another timey wimey mess) a figure from Optimus’s future appears, terrifying and powerful and urging him to take up arms before it’s too late.

Megatron/Optimus
Getting back to these one sentence memes!
1. Angst: It was odd for Megatronto see the amnesiac Optimus, how he still believed that he and Megatron werebut good friends determined to save Cybertron together, but he found he wantedto believe the illusion as well.
2. AU: Optimus had taken in theangry grey cat from the rescue centre, no one else had wanted him as he swipedhis claws at whoever came near, but the middle aged librarian felt sure all heneeded was a good home to go to.
3. Crack!fic: "It's not likeI like you or anything!" Megatron shouted as he turned around, runninglike a schoolgirl and deciding that shouting at Starscream was more preferablethan continuing to talk to Optimus while thinking how pretty he was.
4. Crossover: Megatron hadn'tbeen expecting Optimus to team up with these so called 'Sailor Scouts', or forthem to actually manage to subdue him in a battle, but this was just how theday was going apparently.
5. First Time: Orion stared up atthe tall grey mech who had strolled onto the docks, he had such a commandingpresence about him that it made Orion's spark jump just looking at him.
6. Fluff: (Fluff? With thesetwo... okay then) Megatron could have continued the war for another fourthousand million years, but his heart just wasn't in it when Optimus showed hima box of puppies and he'd spent the next five hours petting the fluffycreatures.
7. Humour: The two factionleaders had decided to try and end the war by arranging a ceasefire picnicbetween their two forces, unfortunately it ended in a food fight after Skywarpthrew a pie at Sideswipes head.
8. Hurt/Comfort: The war endedwhen Megatron fell into a coma and the Decepticons declared a ceasefire, butOptimus found himself at Megatron's berthside every day, talking to him andhoping his words might help bring his former friend back to consciousness.
10. UST: Megatron had been losingall their recent grapples on the battlefield, probably because he kept allowinghimself to get a look at Optimus's aft.

Who I really fucking want to rp though are Six-Winged Jenovian God Vincent Valentine from my rp with @rp-sephiroth and human-looking, amnesiac Chaos who doesn’t know he’s a WEAPON and escaped from Hojo’s lab to become a suave, terrifying dude in a suit who has horns on his head and shares all of Vincent’s Turk memories. He’s also in a lasting relationship with the latter @crimsonredemption-x . Both characters have so much backstory they could be regarded OCs. I love them, my sons. I wonder though who’d ever rp with them which is the reason they don’t have blogs.

amnesiac starscream au: cold search and furious awakening
Convincing the council to attempt to help them in their search for skyfire was tiring.
They're too stubborn, and dragged on with ridiculous ideas and conspiracy theories about it being a trap and cussed out the seeker whenever he tried to explain himself, only a few that could be counted on digits did bother listening to him.
Alpha trion, tigatron, and rodimimus gave them enough backing to launch a search for the shuttle.
It also came with the twins, great news for starscream!
Also bad news due to sentinel prime having to tag a long.
Through out the entire 3 weeks of their search in the Arctic, sentinel took every chance to berate optimus team for forstering a con, making jabs at starscream, and insulting optimus, plus trying to get a rise out of starscream.
Even those on the rescue mission who are uncomfortable with starscream being there, are extremely annoyed with sentinel childish behaviour, and surprised that starscream didn't try to kill him yet, or beat him up.
Starscream had to be patient , he had to, even if he was on the verge of breakdown in angry furious tears and wanting sentinel to shut up permanently and leave him alone-
It was by the fourth week mark did starscream break.
They were exploring a upcoming signal from the north east, a weak, pulsing signal, and sentinel couldn't shut the frag up.
"How do we know it isn't a con?-"
"Why is this cursed planet so cold!!-"
"I tell you it's gonna be a trap-"
"SHUT UP YOU PRIMUS DAMNED MORON!!"
Starscream exploded on sentinel prime , cursing him out through frustrated tears rolling down his faceplates, he was tired, he was scared, his body hurts and he hasn't slept in weeks because of nightmares and he wanted his freind back and he didn't want the council to hurt him if this didn't work and he hated the cold, he hated his own frame and wished to be something else to avoid all the suffering and the hatred he got from his forging for something he didn't control and he tolorated him because he had to, he tolorated him because he needs to, because if he didn't they would think he's a crazy uncontrollable warframe and treat him like a predator and he wasn't hewasn'thewasn'thewasn'thewasn't-
Throughout his breakdown and tears, he couldn't feel the jettwins begging to calm down, he couldn't feel jazz trying to keep sentinel away from him while he tried to kill in what he supposed is self defence, nor did he feel the rescue mission bots and optimus team freak out and warn them that the signal is pulsing wildly and rabidly approaching their location.
All he felt and saw was a recognizable giant blurr of white,blue,reds punting sentinel half across the ice with angry roaring of engines blasting through the cold air.
Skyfire then stood up from once there was sentinel, looked at the absolutely terrified bots, then to the crying starscream, and then, as if he didn't punch sentinel across the ice as if he weight nothing at all, wrapped himself around the seeker that he absolutely dwarfed and comforted him while starscream tears turned from frustration to uncontrollable glee.
All the while the others stood in either awe or fear.
And bumblebee broke the silence with a shivering "t...that's skyfire??? H..he easily dwarfs all of us! Pits even megatron is small compared to him!!" And optimus couldn't agree more.
YES! YES! YES! YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOO
You are a GENIUS everything about this is perfect! Finally, finally, they get to be reunited! Finally someone puts fuckface mcgee in his place, finally Skyfire is back!
I love the idea that shuttles are just these utterly massive, hulking mecha that make even Megatron seem teeny tiny. Skyfire is easily 4-5x his size but he still holds Starscream with the most gentle, loving hands
Gently shushing his precious seeker, trying to get him to stop crying cuz, "It's ok Star, I'm here, you found me, you did it, it's ok, please don't cry."
Only for Starscream to give him the most blinding, exuberant smile and assure him that these are tears of joy and he's never been so happy. Even all that suffering under Sentinel couldn't ruin this moment 💖
Also I love the idea that Skyfire busted free of his ice prison cuz he could sense that someone was making his boyfriend cry. Love that for him

tfa au, starscream loses him memories during a fight, after finding him in the rubble instead of a snarky, evil seeker, is a panicking, terrifying starscream calling out to skyfire and wondering where he is, he spots optimus and mistakes him for a rescue team,then askes where he is and if they found skyfire.
Skyfire was supposedly killed by starscream, but if he was, why was starscream panicked over someone he supposedly murdered?
As it turns out, pre war starscream is extremely freindly but with a ego and sass, and has an interest in organics
Now the autobots have to navigate a memory lost seeker with a very furious magnus and sentinel, plus finding this skyfire, AND dealing with a series of horrific nightmares placed as memories by the poor starscream
I LOVE THISSSSSS
i have always been a huge fan of sweetie pie pre-war Starscream, he's just a complete 180 to his current self and it throws everyone for a loop. He's so desperate to find Skyfire, his most precious feiend and closest companion, perhaps even his romantic partner if we decide to go that route. He's all in a fuss panicked about the big lug, because, "You don't understand, he's not trained for long term emergency survival on an alien planet, he's not equipped! He'll get hurt, or- or starve, please, tell me you found him!"
I've also always been a big fan of the 'Starscream was convicted of Skyfire's murder when he returned home to Cybertron for help' thing, because the angst fuels me and really highlights how fucked up and prejudiced the old world was. Not that the current one is any better, but yk
The autobots on earth actually being kind to him tho 🥺 letting him stay because the alternatives are out of the question, trying to help him search for Skyfire with, unfortunately, limited success. Star's not too sure about these grounders at first, just cuz he's never really been around them, but their hospitality could give Vosians a run for their money, so he's happy to stay awhile 💖

Great, now I want to hear your takes on the other 'Cons as amnesiacs
Wish granted! :D
We'll just start at the top and go down the line:
- Megatron as an amnesiac is reverted back to before the decepticon movement was even conceived. Originally, the civilians and war frames all lived together when Megs was vv small, but very early into his life there was a call for segregation: all of the war frames were delegated to the southern half of the planet, and the civilians were delegated to the north. That was the beginning of the downward spiral of Cybertron.
The southern half was, for lack of a better term, like a third world country. It was rougher around the edges and not as privileged as the north, but it wasn't a bad place to live. It was full of culture, art, music, and the people there weren't wealthy but they had fuel and family and that was enough. Despite that, the northerners had a tendency to spit on them, disparage them, calling them savages and less-thans simply because they were "dogs of war". The majority of the energon mines were in the south, so they were exceptionally important. But things spiralled out of control with massive taxes and more and more oppressive laws. Millions of years passed and the south fell into complete disrepair, cut off from the government, wages at a record low, mecha starving or dying from injury or illness because there was no medical care. Eventually, with the extraction of the All Spark and the discovery that fully-functional adults could be factory made, there were restrictions placed on sparklings, and then they were banned all together. That was the final breaking point for the war frames--the council could call it whatever they wanted, but that's genocide! The civilians had no intentions of ever making more war frames, they were trying to drive them to extinction! It was a hellscape that could crush the spirit out of literally anyone
The amnesiac Megatron I'm imagining is reverted back to a time before the idea of rebellion was ever sparked in his mind. He's exceptionally quiet and introspective. He's used to living every day in an endless, droning cycle: wake up, work a 16 hour shift, drink whatever percentage of fuel he's earned that day, collapse into bed, and repeat. On earth, with all of his memories gone, he has no idea what to do with himself. All he's ever done, for countless years, is work. He has no hobbies, no friends, nothing to occupy his time with. And now, by god, he has all the time in the world.
There's no energon mines on this planet, there's no way for him to get home. He's honestly pretty lost and has no idea what to do with himself. After awhile he does start to come out of his shell, but it's slow going and he still doesn't say much. He's very socially awkward and doesn't know how to really talk to people, a very stark contrast to the hard-earned charisma of his present self. He's weirdly almost sweet, once he gets used to you, and treats everyone like an equal.
- Lugnut is next. He's still got a very loud, boisterous personality, but rather than a one-track Megatron mind, he's just a very noisy, excitable person in general. I hc that Lugnut was an empurata victim, with the one optic and the pincer-like claws? Fight me. He was also either mnemosurgeried or shadowplayed, but the process was interrupted halfway through. There was a decepticon raid on the facility he was being worked on at, and their saving him from having the process completed unfortunately scrambled his processor a bit. Having a delicate neurosurgery interrupted will do that. His screwy codes kinda imprinted on Megatron as his 'savior', aka why he's so obsessive and worships the ground he walks on.
He's never been to an organic planet before, never even been outside of his home city on Cybertron, so earth is a special treat. They don't have mechanimals where he's from, nor any crystal flora, so to be able to witness so many creatures is beyond incredible for him. He likes to imagine what these sorts of flora and fauna would look like back home, and if you think he doesn't pester Bulkhead into painting cybertronian versions of blue jays and squirrels, you're dead wrong
Despite their polar opposite personalities, he actually gets along well with Prowl. Go figure. It's the fellow nature-enthusiast. Granted, yeah, he gets too excited and 10 out of 10 times scares away the critters they're watching, but he's so genuinely enthusiastic It's hard to be mad
- Blitzwing is the one I toiled over the most, honestly. Cuz, before and even during the war, he was a single, unified person. He didn't become a triple changer until Blackarachnia put him under the knife, and that was millions of years after the cons had been exiled. So, this is a toughie
Icy, Hothead, and Random are all still there, first and foremost. Losing memories wouldn't cause them to just vanish. So now, Blitzwing has the added horror of his pre-experimentation self trying to shine through, but is being contrasted by three other people. All four of them are completely lost; they have no recollection of any war, autobots nor decepticons. Original Blitzwing has memories of his home on Cybertron, and it's like he suddenly just woke up to 3 other bots living in his head and taking over his body in sporadic bursts. Meanwhile Icy, Hothead, and Random have no memories of anything. It's like they've been factory reset to day 1
Needless to say, Blitzy is a mess. He feels like he's gone completely crazy, voices he doesn't know constantly ringing out in his head, taking control of his body and puppeting him. He's conscious in there even when the other faces take over, but he can't do anything but watch and listen and feel. He knows exactly what's going on at all times, but it's like he's stuck in the passenger seat. It's awful. Poor guy is plagued with insomnia and debilitating migraines, the type that make it feel like his helm is a nuclear reactor about to reach critical mass, and all he can do is lay completely still in total darkness as the worst pain he's ever felt stabs him in the processor over and over and over again.
He's honestly struggling a lot, mental health wise. Stranded on a planet he doesn't know with a bunch of strangers, having the worst identity crisis in the history of crises, 2 seconds away from a total psychotic breakdown. It's enough to give him... scary thoughts, honestly. Thoughts about drugging or hurting himself, just so he could finally have some peace and feel like a real person again. He needs a lot of help just functioning in his day to day, and should be watched closely. He's in Ratchet's medbay a lot (assuming he ends up like Starscream and is in autobot care), and the old doctor has seen a lot of fucked up shit in his day, but watching this poor kid absolutely decimated, sobbing brokenly and begging for sedation because he literally can't control his body and has been invaded and violated by 3 strangers, really makes his spark ache

In starscream defence, he did say that skyfire is big, they just did anticipate just how big he actually is.
That mech easily dwarfs everyone in the room, and ultra magnus wouldn't be able to reach his waist, megatron would barely be able to reach his chestplates, barely.
To say that the call with the council was awkward is a understatement of the stellar cycle.
The camera needed to be adjusted constantly to fit his face.
And it didn't help that his face was fixed into a emotionless scowl that basically burns with silent anger.
After a very awkward call(and rodimus silently asking if they got sentinel getting punted across the ice on video with a grin) and sentinel needing repairs because of the very angry awakening of the shuttle, they got back to their base in Detroit with a slightly terrified crew,a amused jazz, and very excited seekers.
Optimus team was...... very, very hesitent with skyfire, the much was like a protective cybercat, except much much bigger, and much much meaner in his attacks.
But they weren't starscream, he was over the moon with joy, he didn't leave skyfire alone for the rest of the day, and babbling excitedly about his new friends, and the seekerling he has taken under his wings, oh , and the jettwins couldn't stop gushing about him, especially with how they're crawling over him with excited chirps and giggles, and as scary looking skyfire is as he is gently ,tenderly smiling and picking the seekers with oh so soft voice calling gently.
Even with the distrustful looks he casts onto the team(especially sentinel) he pushes aside for the sake of his friend and his new found seekerlets.
(Sentinel is still salty about his face, but he has enough processor power to not mess around with that shuttle)
This is so tender 🥺 I'm imagining the twins climbing all over him and calling him Papa Skyfire and I can't stop smiling 😊
Starscream is the happiest he's been since losing his memory now that Sky's back. He has almost everything he needs; beloved partner and two precious sparklings... now if only they could go home to Vos 😔
Tho that makes me think 🤔 he probably won't react very well when he finds out Vos is no more. Bombed to smithereens in the war and never restored because flight frames aren't allowed on Cybertron anymore. They don't have a home to go back to, but they'll figure it out

Idea for Amnesiac!Shockwave: he was a warframe who didn’t want to serve his designated function and instead wanted to become a scientist, so he used his size-changing powers to appear as an altmode that was deemed “appropriate” to have such a job and ended up interning at the Autobot Ministry of Science. However, upon finding out the Ministry of Science’s more unethical projects, he was horrified and attempted to share the horrors of what they had done to the rest of Cybertron, only for both his plans and true altmode to found out by the Autobot High Command, who subjected him to empurata as punishment for his “treason”, spreading of “malicious slander”, and refusing to serve his function, alongside shadowplay so that he would be incapable of telling anybot what he had discovered.
Amnesiac!Shockwave is a huge dork, very emotional and socially awkward but very earnest and passionate about both equality between frametypes and his line of work (Basically, you know Milo Thatch from Atlantis: The Lost Empire? That’s him full stop.), at least assuming that the shadowplay isn’t in effect here. If it is, however, he still displays that persona but as a form of masking to try his best to retain a sense of normalcy and hide the fact that something is “wrong” with him. (To potentially make it even more angsty, given how Animated!Shockwave has been shown to be kind of sassy with a dark sense of humor, perhaps the shadowplay was botched and left him incapable of feeling positive emotions/genuine happiness that isn’t derived from another’s misfortune or just unable to feel love and empathy.)
He also ends up forging a close bond with Bumblebee and acts as an older brother to him, similar to his dynamic with him in his Longarm disguise except 100% genuine. Whether Bee feels the same or is deeply uncomfortable by it depends on what point in the series he loses his memories and whether or not Bee knows the truth about Longarm yet.
(Oh, and he’s still devoted to Megatron, just in more of a ‘squealing fanboy’ sense. The dude’s super upset he can’t find his copy of Towards Peace anywhere because if he did he would be BEGGING on his servos and knees for Megs to sign it.)
We have almost exactly the same ideas about amnesiac Shockwave XD I originally didn't include him cuz he's not part of the earth cast, but I can delve into it real quick
Amnesiac Shockwave in TFA is reverted back to a young, idealistic, and incredibly passionate mech. Shockwave is the most curious person you've ever met, always humming and hawing and investigating anything he can get his hands on. He's overflowing with energy 24/7, a whirlwind of emotions, constantly bouncing from one topic to another at the drop of a hat. He always has like a minimum of three projects going on at once, and the fastest way to get his attention is to offer a kernel of knowledge he doesn't yet have access to
He's so eager and overly friendly he's honestly A Lot to deal with. He talks a mile a minute (not super speed enhanced speech like Blurr, but rather a sort of autistic/ADHD rambling infodump) and will follow around anyone that will listen. As a born war frame and stuck on the southern half of the planet he didn't naturally have access to higher education or even of-quality information a lot of the time, so when he was young he may or may not have spent time teaching himself how to hack and manuever around firewalls on the internet just so he could read and learn.
Big agree on him using his ability to shapeshift to infiltrate the north and go to school--he wanted nothing more than to learn. Science is his greatest love and he always pushes for more, more, more!
But, enough backstory. With him stranded on earth with no memories, he's just an overly-excited neurodivergent science student that is over the moon to be on an organic planet. Think of all the things to study! Carbon based life forms, evolution on micro and macro levels, a functioning water cycle, weather patterns, polar vertices, planetary rotations, everything you could imagine! He's never been so excited! Starry eyed and full of joy, it's tangible even tho he doesn't have a face anymore
Since TFA Shockwave is considerably more expressive and sassy than, say, his Aligned iteration, I hc him to either have not been shadowplayed, or having a very minor case. So his mental state is still pretty stable, but the changes to his body... they definitely come as a shock. The usefulness of his hands has been severely cut down, only 3 barely-dexterous claws instead of fully articulated fingers and a thumb is a huge blow. Not to mention his face--he doesn't even look like a person anymore, and it's the cause of much despair. Yeah, he can shapeshift, but it's not the same. This could also open the door to the earth team being introduced to what empurata is, another horror of the autobots' past that has been erased for the sake of making them look good. State-funded mutilation of citizens isn't exactly a good look, after all

I really like your amnesiac Starscream au! I can't help but consider, what if Optimus lost his memories too? In a TFP lorebook, Alpha Trion found Orion Pax as a feral sparkling. I just want to see how a feral Optimus would be with an amnesiac Starscream.
I felt like Starscream had done some volunteer work to take care of sparklings (as in the hissy, will claw your face Bay movies kind) and he will be very chill with Optimus.
Starscream: Haha, he likes me! :)
Prowl: He's biting your servo.
Starscream: He's just playing around. :D
The feral sparkling thing is really only canon on TFP; he was brought online as a protoform in a batch as far as TFA is concerned. But if we wanted to go that route (either OP specifically as a feral sparkling, or amnesia reverting him back to a feral survival mindset), I doubt Starscream would have any trouble handling him. Optimus is only like a quarter of his size, so he is still baby sized compared to the seeker XD seeker aeries can have dozens of bitties at a time, so he could manage this in his sleep. This one feral bitey youngling doesn't even phase him tbh. Everyone else is very ??????? and doesn't know wtf to do, meanwhile Starscream is like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just another Tuesday

Amnesiac Shockwave and Amnesiac Starscream would definitely cause chaos. There's nothing that can stop these two from doing an experiment and making something explode.
Except for Ratchet.
Doesn't stop them completely though. They just move their lab to the mountains.

Just two hyper-excitable science nerds stranded on a planet just brimming with experiments ready to be conquered. Whenever they get excited about something they just start going back and forth, back and forth, bouncing ideas off each other, finishing the other's sentences, getting louder and louder until they're full on yelling even tho they're right next to each other. They're just excited!! They can't help it!
There is absolutely at least one instance where Shockwave wakes Starscream up (or vice versa) at like three in the morning because, "I FIGURED IT OUT I HAVE AN IDEA WE GOTTA GET TO THE LAB RIGHT NOW COME ON!!!!!!!!!!"
And Starscream just flies out of bed like, "WAIT YOU FIGURED IT OUT?? TELL ME EVERYTHING! :D" and they run out of their (probably shared) room yelling back and forth, subsequently waking everyone up. They're so happy their joy is contagious, so no one can really be mad. They talk nerd to each other like 24/7, using 6 syllable words in common conversation and no one can decode what they're saying.

Could be they didn't want to reproduce shuttles and locked thme in alt-mode a la Omega and in the governmental shuffle current Autobots don't realize some of their ships are people. Starscream though takes one look at a ship landing and knows it is Skyfire.
Cue the baby Autobots having a nad time realizing how shady their government is and helping "steal" a person to free them. Optimus locks himself in a supply closet several times to scream, while Skyfire gently IDs people like Astrotrain or Blast Off or Galazy Shuttle as fellow victims of the stasis lock.
This is SO GOOD 🤩
Skyfire being locked in alt mode for millions of years, unable to speak and forcibly piloted through unsafe or unsavory conditions, forced to support the endeavors of his captors, entirely conscious but unable to so much as twitch his wings of his own free will
That's so dark and cruel and I love it. Poor Skyfire 🥺 Starscream still recognizes him after all this time, and the second he spots his beloved ex-partner in such a predicament he goes in guns blazing to free him. These civilian frames are forcing him to be little more than a puppet, that's unforgivable! He'll do whatever he must to get Skyfire free from them!

Not sure why but the thought came to me what if amnesiac decepticons au and the cross dimensional shenanigans happens in the same universe. Wildbreak visit his favorite uncle Blitzwing only to find he has zero memories of him and is hurting. So clearly Wildbreak has to be his personal helper or nurse anyway I just want the autobots having to deal with this random kid that popped up and refuses to leave.
That is so cute that is so cute THAT IS SO CUTE!!!!!
Little Wildbreak is very qualified for the position of nurse, after all his daddy is a doctor and he has lots of bandaids on hand at any given moment. He sticks one on Blitzwing’s forehead after hearing his favorite uncle mention a processor-breaking migraine. Kisses top of the band aid like, "Feel better? 🥺"
Blitzwing has no idea who this tiny child is, but he appreciates the sweet gesture

amnesiac starscream au: lies been told
Following the disaster of finding out that alot of the words of the council have been lies was not something optimus would have loved to find out.
He lived most of his life reciting autobots history and living by their own laws thinking that they're perfect, his whole world veiw shattered on the findings of jazz.
Old histories of the war originally have told, following vos support of the decepticons movement , the council wanted to make a example out of them, blasting the city into smithereens along side anyone who objects.
Those who survived have lost families, their home, their culture, their conjunx endura, and more, and they couldn't even mourn properly , there was nothing that could be buried, nothing that was left of their life to mourn, all documented history of the city was hidden away, where no-one can find it.
That was a turning point for vosians, gone the days of being docile punching bags, now it was the time to turn the council into ruin.
Those who survived and couldn't handle warlaran off to a desolate planet, and named it canimus, still not found were it is to this day, those who stayed in the army fought tooth and nail to get revenge on the autobots for their fallen city, their loved ones, their sparklings, their culture, everything.
Of course that never came to fruition.
And the decepticons were exiled, those who were captured were either reformmatted into ground frametypes, like drift, or stright up executed.
And why does jazz know so much of the history of vos and the fallen cities?
His carrier was one of the few reformatted fliers that still retained their memory, primus bless his spark, begged him to never speak out of line, fearful for his little one of the cruelty of the council, "please my singing light, don't do the mistake our city has committed, just stay in line for carrier, please, i don't want you to suffer"
His carrier died from a spark seizure.
"I listened to them for far too long, i don't care what they say any more, the counil shpuld die, it was never fair from it inception by the protectobots...."
The team didn't speak for a week straight, jazz refused to go back to cybertron, alinging himself with optimus team, the jettwins didn't want to go back to cybertron, too fearful of their heritage, of the council actions.
Starscream overheard everything, why must his existence be suffer for other?
Why couldn't he just be a normal frame like other?
THIS. THIS IS SO GOOD
I'm frankly amazed that Jazz's carrier didn't go completely insane from having their wings forcefully taken, forever confined to the ground. Was the stress what tipped them over the edge into the seizure? And like, given the time frames... Starscream or Skyfire may have known whoever they were. That would be so rough
There's just so much to unpack here. I am in SHAMBLES. The cruelty has so many layers. The twins being afraid to return (as they should be tbh), Jazz deciding to stay and hopefully telling them more about all of Cybertron's cover ups. There's definitely an interesting take on Caminus, and I just!! All of this is so good! 😍

amnesiac starscream au: horrid histories, horrid discoveries.
Starscream, following the weeks of skyfire rescue mostly spent it helping him in physical therapy.
Even after such a strong awakening such as his, after cooldown he definitely needed time to actually heal.
Not the first time he needed to help skyfire healing, the shuttle had a knack for getting himself hurt for his sake.
not that starscream minded (he did mind theedamge he keeps doing to himself , primus knows skyfire had no sense of selfpreservations skills), he gladly stuck to any excuse to be near the shuttle side at all cost, during his recovery, the flyers stuck together like glue, conversing themselves with a long forgotten language among the autobots, strange glyphs with clicks and chirps.
And naturally, the small human and her seekerling friends got curious.
Their friends from the elite gaurd, however , seemed stricken with guilt.
Sari peeked up that the amnesiac seeker with innocent curiosity in her eyes "what's that language?"
Jetfire tilted his head "yes yes, what language you speak sir star?"
Starscream expression dropped in an instant "oh..... that's-..t-t-that's...."
Skyfire quickly sensed his friend's distress, wrapped his arms around him with a comforting purr of his engines "that's vosian, a near dead language"
Jetstorm interest peeked "oh, near dead? But is so pretty! Why not alot of bots speak it anymore?"
Skyfire explains, that the language was made fun of and used as a example of vosians being ""lesser"" intelligent that most other cybertronians, which lead to many to only use it in presence of other warframe and vosians.
More and more skyfire spoke, more and more prime's team looked uncomfortable, scared doubtful, and it made skyfire so mad.
"But that didn't go too well, they still veiwed us as animals-"
"Skyfire!"
"It's true!! You know it, i know it and every flier worth their wings knows it! No matter how hospitable we were and how much we gave to them thEY STILL SEE US AS LESSER-"
"SKYFIRE!"
Skyfire stopped, starscream's more distressed and terrified, the seekerlings are quivering, the autobots looked scared and horrified-
He needs to shut up.
"I'm sorry, this won't happen again" his tone is tense, emotionless, mechanical.
The tesion is thick, no-one moved, no-one said a thing, starscream wings peaked up with a smile.
Forced, strained, smile.
"We apologise dearly for that outburst, i must get skyfire to back to berth, that's enough for today, right dear??"
"...yes.."
Before anyone could even process the information, the seeker hurred his friend away from autobots eyes, leaving them with a dead sense of dread and doubt.
His intake tight, turns to the elite gaurd member with a pleading look, please don't let my doubts be true-
"Jazz, i thought vos was a mythical city...."
....
"It isn't , I'm sorry "
And hell broke loose.

"Lord megatron, i have found interest intel..."
"Oh? Please do tell, shockwave"
I love the implications of this. I love the idea of the autobots completely wiping the sky cities from history, destroying Vosian, Helexian, and Kalisian culture, denying their very existence. The flyers had beautiful cities full of culture and art and beauty, but it couldn't be allowed into the future in order to further their goals. It's the ugliest, cruellest form of genocide, denying the victims the right to even be remembered. Vos's memory lives on only in the exceptionally scarce survivors, and Starscream is terrified that, if they speak out of line, they'll take Skyfire away. Shadowplay him or just flat out have him executed
Also all hell breaking loose? Higher up autobots knowing about the destroyed civilizations but forbidden from speaking of it to the general public? Spicy
Also also 👀 Shockwave? What did you find??? I need to know!
