Vince Vanguard Premieres His Debut Album ‘Spirit Blues’

Americana singer/songwriter Vince Vanguard writes honest and open music. He had been longing to self-release for years, the irony being that this dream was at his fingertips as he owned a recording studio and ran his own production company. But, he was a casualty of the musician’s overindulgent lifestyle. Now, he’s ready to share his artistic aspirations with the world.

He just released his debut americana and blues rock album, Spirit Blues.  “These songs were written and recorded for me. I wasn’t trying to be commercially successful, or catch a certain group’s attention,” shares Vince. “They're all just my pain and existential rumination, and the need for their cathartic release.”

The 10 song album consists of songs that grapple with a journey of addiction, but the lyrics are universal—this isn’t a detailed sobriety travelogue. This theme is important to him and it shows in his music. It’s got an Allman Brothers, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and even a Grateful Dead sound to it. His soulful and sweet vocals whisk you away immediately and his gripping blues, folk, and americana melodies creates an out of body experience when you listen to Spirit Blues.

Today, Vince is enjoying a busy and meaningful life filled with many endeavors outside of music. Reflecting back on it all, Vince says: “I needed to get these songs off my chest to break ties with my past. Now, I feel like I can move on.”
