▲ : Okay kids, I actually have a story with this one-- It’s pretty lengthy so let’s place it under the cut

Now, don’t get me wrong, I live && breathe the theater, but during my senior year there was a huuuuuugggee gripe I had during the Summer production of Shrek. Okay, so everything was going so smoothly && I was super pumped b/c I fell in love with the musical when we watched it after coming back from Winter break. However, my drama teacher had asked a kid I particularly don’t like associating myself with to help out with props since he was in the art club. We had the art teacher && a few others working on Dragon, but my teacher asked this kid to do the Farquaad head. Now the thing with this kid is--he makes me really uncomfortable. Not only did he outright steal my idea of wanting to make a MLP club (that literally would be us watching the newest episode), but this kid outright would say things around me && my three other friends that he was a clopper. And personally--I was a really chill brony like them && didn’t like that. So when I heard that my teacher let this kid in the musical not only as help--but as a part one of my friends wanted I got irritated. He was given the roll of the Big Bad Wolf--meaning he’d be grouped with me since I was playing a Fairy Tail Creature aswell. The only thing was this kid could not act, dance, or sing for the life of him. I heard during a practice that I had to skip out on one day that this kid would hit his notes an octave bellow them. I tried helping with how to say his lines in songs by playing back music from the soundtrack--but it did no good. In the end he ended up befriending some of my drama buddies && overall made me uncomfortable as heckie.The unpopular opinion here? :’) I guess people who are chosen to be in a show just because they’re helping w/ stuff??
