It's sick. I saw a video while scrolling of this person who had an entire fridge of gisou products with real fresh fruits as DECOR and the next video was of a person in Sudan asking for donations so she and her family could eat. Can u imagine using real fruits as decor? When ppl are starving out there ur telling me someone's using perfectly edible food as decor? That video perfectly encapsulated the problems with today's world. 1. Over consumption cuz why do u need so many of the same products? Are u really gonna use them all? 2. Ignorance cuz how can u be that disconnected from the real world and it's problems that u decided u would put REAL FRUIT AS DECOR to make ur stupid fridge aesthetic? 3. How these influencers are promoting over consumption while complaining about climate change and promoting "sustainable" brands that are only sustainable by name/ in the country they sell their products in. Cuz at the end of the day instead of donating products that no one bought, they destroy and throw it away on the coasts of 3rd world countries. 4. U can't expect me to believe they've not once heard of the ongoing genocide the people of DRC, Sudan, Palestine are facing. If they can afford to spend time buying 10 bottles of the same product and neatly arrange it in their fridges they have time to educate themselves about these issues. My mind is baffled at how fucking polarised society is. I hate it. I hate it so much.
