if someone told me that black lagoon came out the same year as the og higurashi and fate/stay night I would not have believed them
#2006 and it holds up like it was done within the last few years#although thankfully that means it's missing a lot of the gratuitous butt/bust shots that happen nowadays#which isn't to say that there aren't times that a butt/bust isn't a focus in frames#but it's to such a lesser extent that it feels fine#considering most of the time it's for action shots#will admit that I'm glad that I'm first watching it as an adult vs as a 12 year old thirsty for anime#cause idk if I'd appreciate it the same#plus also I feel like the arc with the twins would have probably kept me away as a kid#that shit was fucked#also the comparisons in the post are not to shit on those anime#I love them#but it is jarring knowing they're from the same generation
